ZOREN LEGASPI turned 49 years old last January 30 and although he’s about to be a golden boy, he looks much younger than his age because of clean living.
He also makes it a point to work out regularly to keep his body in good shape.
Zoren is celebrating his birthday in their family’s show, “Sarap Di Ba? Bahay Edition”, this coming Saturday morning.
His wife Carmina Villaroel and their kids Mavy and Cassy have prepared a very special birthday treat and presentation for him.
What’s his birthday wish?
“For myself, wala na siguro akong mahihiling pa kundi continuous good health for me and family,” he says. “I also wish to be of more help to others.
"I do a lot of cycling and, along the way, I see a lot of people in sad situations as I bike. Kaya I always bring something with me na puede kong maitulong sa mga nangangailangang tao na I meet as I bike.”
Carmina says she really admires Zoren for having a kind heart and a helping hand.
“He’s really selfless kasi lagi niyang iniisip, ano pa bang puede niyang gawin to help the needy people he encounters on a daily basis when he is biking. He’s really a loving person.
"For you to be able to help more people, ang birthday wish ko sa iyo is that you continue to have a successful career as an actor and as a director. Alam ko kasi how much you love directing.”
Zoren is a mainstay in the hit GMA Afternoon Prime drama, ‘Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit’, but he is also the special guest of Eugene Domingo in a fresh new episode of ‘Dear Uge’ entitled “Wife for Hire”, this Sunday at 2: 30 PM.
“Maganda yung episode namin,” says Zoren. “I play Joms at matalik kaming magkaibigan dito ni Uge as Ems.
"Pero matagal na kaming hindi nagkikita kaya I was so surprised when she showed up sa bahay ko and asks me na kung puede siyang makitira muna sa akin kasi nagtatago siya sa mga pinagkakautangan niya.”
Zoren agrees, but on the condition that Uge will pretend to be his wife to ward off his ardent admirer who keeps on trying to seduce him, Ofelia, played by Maureen Larrazabal.
He even asked his cousin, Edgar Allan Guzman as Pax, to take their fake wedding photos. But will this be enough to stop Maureen from seducing him? Don't miss "Wife for Hire" in "Dear Uge" this Sunday afternoon.
