KELLEY DAY started with Star Magic when she was 16 and was linked to Piolo Pascual’s son.
She eventually moved to GMA-7 where she did soaps like “Kapag Nahati ang Puso”, “The One that Got Away”, “Dahil sa Pag-ibig” and the animated series “Barangay 143”.
She also did episodes in “Magpakailanman” and “Dear Uge”. She was last seen as a guest in TV5’s “Oh My Dad”.
She joined the Miss World Philippines pageant last year and won the Miss Eco International Philippines title.
She’s now all set to compete for the Miss Eco International Pageant and is also doing a movie with Raymond Bagatsing and David Chua, who were both present in the send-off party for her held at Manila House in BGC before she left for Egypt.
Also at the said event were beauty queens Miss World Philippines 2019 Michelle Dee, Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 Katrina Llegado, and Miss Eco-Teen International 2020 winner Ro-An Tamondong.
A formidable combination of beauty and brains, Kelley is ready with her arsenal of amazing gowns, spruced-up styling tricks, and her quick and sparkling wit as she represents the country in the Miss Eco International Pageant.
This will be held on April 4, Easter Sunday, at Dahab/Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt.
With rigid safety protocols in place, the 24 year-old half Pinay, half British stunner is hopeful to bring home the country’s second Miss International Eco crown (after Thia Thomalia).
The pageant was cancelled twice due to the pandemic but is now finally pushing through.
“The pandemic taught me to be more independent and reminded me to love myself more,” says Kelley at her send-off party.
“The physical preparations for the pageant started last month but I have been mentally and emotionally preparing myself for over a year.”
Kelley underwent stiff training in preparing herself with different looks for the competition while laboriously preparing for the contest’s highly-anticipated Q&A portion. Kelley reveals that her mind is clearer after much reflection during the peak of the pandemic lockdown.
“I have a renewed zest and appreciation for life. I meditated on my career path, and I think, more than ever, I’m now headed towards the right direction.”
And the right direction it really is as she prepares for a big movie project with young actor David Chua and veteran character actor Raymond Bagatsing that they will shoot when she returns from Egypt, hopefully with an international beauty title.
With Kelley and David both currently single, fans are getting curious about the on and off-screen chemistry of the two good looking young actors. Their followers are excited, hoping sparks might fly between the two.
“Anything is possible,” says David whose last teleserye was ABS-CBN’s “Love Thy Woman” following roles in some 30 other Kapamilya shows.
Observers noticed that the actor, who won the Cinema One best supporting actor award for "Saturday Night Chills", was noticeably “extra sweet” with Kelley at the send-off. “Right now, I’m wishing Kelley the best of luck in the pageant," he says.
"The country deserves to have some good news that we can all be proud of especially after what we all went through last year. I’m also looking forward to working with Kelley and definitely with Raymond — one actor I truly admire.”
Raymond on the other hand, who received much critical acclaim for his title role performance in the biopic “Quezon’s Game”, is convinced this project with David and Kelley is going to be one film he’d be proud of.
“I instantly fell in love with the material the moment the concept was presented to me. It’s different. I can’t wait ‘til we start shooting. I’m so looking forward to it.
"But in the meantime, I’m cheering Kelley on as she competes for Miss Eco International. I’m positive she’ll bring home the crown,” Raymond adds.
