BARBIE FORTEZA is ecstatic over the fantastically high ratings that “Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday” is currently getting.
It’s just too bad that the show is ending this Friday and fans are requesting that it gets extended, but such things are difficult these days because of the pandemic, unlike during the olden days when it's easier to extend a hit show.
"Anak ni Waray" has really gotten more intriguing as it now appears that Barbie and Kate Valdez were switched at birth and they grew up with different mothers.
Barbie is really so fortunate as both her career and her love life are doing well. She considers boyfriend Jak Roberto as a lucky charm who brought so many blessings to her life and career.
“I really feel na lucky charm ko siya, kasi parang ever since naging kami, nagtuloy-tuloy rin talaga ang magagandang opportunities na dumarating sa akin,” she says.
“Mas dumami yung inquiries, dumami yung work, kaya talagang nakakatuwa. But hindi lang naman sa akin kundi pati rin sa kanya. Swerte kami sa isa’t isa. Busy rin siya ngayon, successful ang vlog niya, kaya ang saya lang, very thankful kami sa lahat ng blessings.”
But she somehow feels sad now that “Anak ni Waray” is ending. “Nakakalungkot na matatapos na siya, kasi gano’n na kalaki at kasaya ang pinagsamahan namin sa show nina Kate, Migo Adecer, Tita Dina Bonnevie and Tita Snooky Serna.
"And not just the cast pero pati yung mga staff, talagang parang naging pamilya kami, lalo na during the lock in taping namin.”
But Barbie will not really be idle as she’s now a host and also performs in “All Out Sundays” and she will also star in a fabulous episode of the hit Kapuso primetime drama anthology, “I Can See You”, where she will be paired with Paul Salas.
“Bale reunion namin ito ni Paul dahil nagkasama na kami sa ‘Kara Mia’ before,” adds Barbie. “Abangan nyo dahil ang ganda ng episode namin. But meantime, don’t miss the final week of ‘Anak ni Waray’ dahil maraming intense na mga pasabog dito.”
