RANDY SANTIAGO is glad to be back to TV hosting in TV5’s revival of the iconic “Sing-Galing”, a hit in the late 90s hosted by Ai Ai de las Alas and Allan K.
He was last seen as a judge in “Tawag ng Tanghalan (TNT)” which has just ended.
Now, he’s a host in “Sing-Galing” along with K Brosas, who’s his co-judge in “TNT”, along with comedian Donita Nose. They’re called Sing Masters.
The judges in “Sing-Galing” are called Juke Bosses. They are Jessa Zaragoza, Ronnie Liang and another co-judge of Randy in TNT, Rey Valera.
“I love the show’s mantra which says ‘Magkaka-sing galing tayong lahat!’ kasi we Filipinos just really love to sing,” says Randy.
“Kaya nga big hit sa atin ang karaoke and videoke, di ba? Very expressive tayong mga Pinoy. whether nasa tono ka man o hindi, maganda man yung boses mo o hindi.
“Sing-Galing” is the original “Kantawanan” videoke game show and viewers are rejoicing that it is making a remarkable comeback. Because singing is for all, this is now your chance to have fun, sing-along, and win!
Cignal Entertainment and TV5 brings back the well-loved pioneer videoke game show and it’s set to premiere on Monday, April 5. What’s the difference of “Sing-Galing” then and now?
“Well, today’s ‘Sing-Galing’ has been upgraded with its new features, extra challenges, and hilarious antics,” says Randy.
“Each episode offers a platform for three contestants, dubbed as singtestants, to compete through three fun rounds that will challenge their luck, knowledge of songs, and lyrics recall, to determine the BidaOke Star of the Night who will be vying all the way to the grand finals.
"Aside from the studio contenders, meron ding Ka-Awit-Bahay who are up for weeknight harmonies with their family and loved ones. Even the iconic Genie is back, this time with a revamped look to go along with his onscreen antics.
"Netizens, meanwhile, also get a chance to experience Sing-Galing’s digiverse, to be hosted by Viral Zinger Zendee of Tiktok.”
Randy’s co-host, K Brosas, says viewers should watch out for the fun interaction of the hosts and the judges in the show.
So it’s gonna be fun, super fun.”
Jessa Zaragoza says she’s looking forward to working with Rey and Ronnie as co-judges.
"We might have different opinions but it’s all for the good of the show in choosing the right winner.”
Donita Nose says she used to watch “Sing-Galing” as a child.
“I remember doon nanalo at sumikat si Ethel Booba.
Take note that most of those involved in “Sing-Galing” are recruits from ABS-CBN as the show’s director is Mel Feliciano, who used to direct “It’s Showtime”.
“Aaliwin talaga namin kayo and we’ll provide relief and entertainment in this time of uncertainty. Whole families can bond together as they watch Monday to Friday at 6:30 PM. So while having your dinner, panoorin nyo kami at tiyak na masisiyahan kayo.”
