RHIAN RAMOS wants to thank all viewers who made the GMA primetime soap, “Love of My Life”, a big success.
The show is ending this Friday night and she confesses that when she was told they’d do its remaining episodes on a lock in taping, she was not that enthusiastic at first.
“Yes, that’s true, medyo skeptical ako noong una about lock in, but I agreed to do it kasi trabaho ito and I’m committed to it,” she says.
“I was a bit nervous at the start, but as we went along, sa totoo lang, I really enjoyed doing lock in taping kasi para lang kaming nagbabakasyon ng buong cast and crew sa location namin in Tagaytay.
"I enjoyed everyone’s company and it came out as a very positive experience.”
“Love of My Life” followers are polarized between her as Kelly and Carla Abellana as Adelle. How does she feel about this?
“It’s really quite amusing na nag-aaway ang Team Kelly versus Team Adelle, but I think the conflict really helped to make the show more interesting and the ratings go higher.
"Sa last survey kasi, 19 plus percent na ang rating namin, an all time high. But this week, makikita nyo ang reconciliation between Kelly and Adelle and it will be really so moving.
"Kaya make sure you don’t miss the final episode of ‘Love of My Life’ as I assure you that your hearts will be touched by the way the story is resolved. Maganda pati ang mga mangyayari sa two other major characters, Mikael Daez as Nikolai and Tita Coney Reyes as Isabella.”
When she joined showbiz about 15 years ago, most people predicted she’s going to be a real big star, but she made some indiscretions along the way that somehow affected her career adversely. Does she have any regrets about this?
“Not really. I always say that anything that you have already done, there’s no point in regretting them kasi you cannot change them naman anyway.
"And whatever you are now, you are part of all the things that happened to you before, and that includes the ups, the downs, the good times and even the painful times.
"And now, I can honestly say I’m happy naman, so there’s really no reason for me to regret or change anything.”
The pandemic has definitely been an unforgettable experience for her.
“I was planning to put up my own business last year, creating my own products, but the lockdown happened. The lesson I learned is: when you are planning to do something, why wait?
"Kawe-wait ko, ayan, naabutan ako ng pandemic. You never really know when you’re going to have the opportunity, so don’t procrastinate.”
