JERALD NAPOLES is happy but he didn't expect to be chosen as new sexy star Sunshine Guimary’s leading man in Viva’s sex-comedy “Kaka”, directed by GB Sampedro.
The trailer is very sexy and some folks are now asking him how come he did a porno movie when he’s a comedian.
“Hindi naman po porn itong ginawa namin,” says Jerald. “Totoong sexy yung maraming eksena in ‘Kaka’, even yung bedscenes namin ni Sunshine, also very steamy but hindi naman po ito porn.
"Gawa po ito ng Viva at directed by GB Sampedro na hindi naman nagsu-shoot o gumagawa ng porno films.”
They asked Direk GB first what is required of them as actors.
“Bago kami mag-shoot ng sexy scene, talagang dinedetalye ni Direk GB kung ano ang gagawin namin sa harap ng kamera. Importante kasi na bilang artista, alam namin kung saan exactly papunta yung vision ng aming director.
"Very artistic naman ang approach niya and with the choreography ng scene, yung blocking, maayos naman naming naitawid ang lahat ng mga seksing eksena. Nagtugma yung gusto ni Direk GB at kung ano yung mga ginawa namin bilang artista.”
It’s common knowledge that he is currently in a relationship with comedian-singer Kim Molina, with whom he did the hit “Jowable”.
Is it true Kim got jealous because of the sexy scenes he did with Sunshine in “Kaka”?
“Hindi naman exactly naging jealous,” he says. “She just felt uncomfortable for me kasi, let’s face it, maski naman ako, hindi ko inaasahang sa’kin mapupunta ang ganitong movie na sex comedy.
"Nung malaman niya ang mga detalyeng gustong ipagawa ni Direk GM, nalinaw sa kanya what is required of us at sinuportahan niya kami sa gagawin namin.”
What exactly is his role in the movie?
“Ako yung best friend ni Kaka, Sunshine Guimary’s character. May lihim akong pagtingin sa kanya, pero ang mas gusto niya, si Ion Perez na ang paniwala niya, siyang magli-lift sa sumpa sa family nila na lahat ng babae, hindi lumiligaya sa kama.
"Pero si Ion nga ba ang chosen one to lift the curse? Yun ang panoorin nyo sa movie.”
Sunshine herself said during the movie’s zoom presscon that she felt more comfortable with him than with her other leading man, Ion, who everyone knows is the boyfriend of Vice Ganda.
How does he feel about this?
“Well, ako kasi, alam kong first movie niya ito, so bilang ako ang mas may experience between us as an actor, I made sure na mare-relax siya sa shoot at hindi siya naiilang sa akin,” he explains.
“Nagjo-joke ako, pinapatawa ko siya para maalis ang tension niya. Okay naman si Sunshine for a newcomer, hindi siya nagpapaiwan sa eksena at palaban din siya kahit sa love scenes.
"Walang arte-arte kahit sa hubaran. Kaya don’t miss our movie when it opens sa VivaMax on May 28 dahil tiyak na masisiyahan kayo at hindi kayo mabibitin.
