BEA ALONZO does not need to defend herself from bashers who call her “walang utang na loob” for moving to GMA-7.
But she still answered them when she and her Zambales farm were featured in Jessica Soho’s number one Sunday show. She said GMA’s offer came at the right time.
“It just felt right,” adds Bea who left for her US vacation last Tuesday night.
“I follow my heart. Kapag magaan, it means, tama. I got the blessing of my former bosses namand and I’m very grateful to all the opportunities they gave me. So I know wala akong tinatapakang tao.”
In a video in her own youtube channel titled “New Beginnings”, she thanked not only ABS but all the production people who helped her during her stay there.
She added that she’s hoping they will still be friends and that they’ll understand her.
She said her contract with ABS ended as of November of last year yet.
And she added: “I am an actress. And I am here to create. That is my purpose. And that is my task.
"I owe that to my audience. I know this journey will lead me to a door of many opportunities, new learnings and growth.”
Now, everyone is asking Bea if her perennial ka-love team, John Lloyd Cruz, is also sure to move to GMA.
She said that at her launching at the Shang, someone called her to talk to John Lloyd.
“Kasi may zoom call pala siya that time with Ms. Anette Gozon for the sitcom he’s doing with them so hinila ako para mag-hi sa kanya.
"Nandun din si Direk Bobot Mortiz and they congratulated me. John Lloyd is very supportive.
"Sabi pa niya, mag-guest daw ako sa sitcom niya at dapat, kaming dalawa lang ang nasa cast, wala ng iba.”
So she is willing to work with Lloydie in a GMA teleserye?
“Why not. Basta kasama si JL, lagi akong game. I miss him. He’s such a brilliant actor and I miss sharing the same screen with him.
"My core is drama, so yun pa rin ang gusto ko, do a teleserye with him. I want to see kung ano ang magiging outcome nun ngayong nandito na kami sa GMA.”
Bea will be back in Manila in the first week of August and the first GMA assignment she’ll do is to shoot her movie with Alden Richards.
