LOUISE DE LOS REYES left GMA Network where she gained stardom to be managed by Viva in 2017.
They were able to cast her in Kapamilya shows like “Ang Probinsyano”, “Asintado” and various episodes of “Ipaglaban Mo”.
Her latest TV assignment with Viva is “Encounter”, a local version of the hit Koreanovela of the same title where she plays the assistant and friend of Cristine Reyes.
She also got to do several movies like ‘Para sa Broken Hearted’, ‘Sanggano, Sangguwapo’, “Hanggang Kailan” ‘My Bakit List’.
Her latest movie with Viva is the local adaptation of the Korean thriller, “The Housemaid”, where she plays the wife of a billionaire magnate, Albert Martinez.
In both “Encounter” and “The Housemaid”, Louise sports blonde hair, but in the zoom presscon for the latter, her hair is back to being black. So how is she doing now with Viva?
“I'm okay naman,” she says. “I’m happy kasi hindi ako nawawalan ng assignment. Sunod-sunod nga, e.”
How is it being part of “The Housemaid”?
“Sobrang saya kong napasama ako sa movie na ito where I get to work with Albert Martinez, Jaclyn Jose, Alma Moreno and with Kylie Versoza in the title role.
"Mabigat ang casting and the emotions required from me, mabigat din. Buntis kasi ako rito tapos, di ko alam ko, my husband na si Albert, may affair na pala sa housemaid naming si Kylie.”
So how is it working with the cast?
“Si Kuya Albert is great actor. As my husband, may atake siyang very subtle ang nuances niya, pero ang bigat kapag pinanood mo na sa screen.
"I’m also so happy to be able to work with Tita Jaclyn as our mayordoma sa house and si Tita Alma as my mother. Lock in shooting kami at magaan silang katrabaho.”
How about Kylie?
“Bilib ako kay Kylie kasi yung role niya rito, sobrang naapi siya.
"May scene na binigyan ko siya ng mag-asawang sampal. Tapos sinaktan din siya ni Tita Alma.
"Puro walang daya ang mga eksena and she’s very game about it. A real trouper.
"Those scenes wouldn’t have worked without her full dedication sa role niya. I hope the film makes it para magtuloy-tuloy ang career niya.”
And how about their director, Roman Perez Jr.?
“Kudos to Direk Roman kasi he is able to handle well ang lahat ng mabibigat na scenes. Kasi very taxing ang mga eksena. emotionally and physically.
"Mabusisi si Direk, e. Kailangan sa bawat eksena, ang production design ng set, ang pag-iilaw, ang blocking, lahat perfect.”
She’s also grateful to Viva.
“Yes, I’m thankful to Viva for giving me this role kasi ibang-iba ito sa roles na nagawa ko na before.
"My character here is so self centered, kaya nilagyan namin siya ng maraming layers of emotions ni Direk.
"She’s quite complex kaya nilagyan din namin ng naiibang nuances para maiba rin ang layers ng acting.
"I want to give her a redeeming moment para hindi masyadong maging negative ang dating niya. I’m really proud of my work in this movie.”
