DASURI CHOI is a South Korean dancer who is based in Manila. She’s now the official endorser of Hyundai appliances.
She joined the “You’re My Foreignay” contest in “Eat Bulaga” and won as best in talent and as a runner up. She speaks Tagalog fluently like a native.
She used to be a member of various dance teams in Seoul, like Hong Yeong Ju Dancers, Step Up Dancers and Yama & Hot Chicks.
She has appeared in a sexy pictorial for FHM Magazine. GMA-7 then got her to do guest roles in some of their shows like “My Korean Jagiya” and “Pepito Manaloto”.
She also hosted the reality lifestyle show “Day Off” for a while, with Boobay and Julie Anne San Jose.
So why did she choose to stay in Manila?
“Happy ako rito at naka-adapt na ko sa Filipino culture. Ang mindset kasi ng mga Pinoy is very peaceful. Everyone is very welcoming, very warm, hospitable, so pinili ko to live here kasi more relaxing.
"I now have a lot of good Filipino friends. My dad is here with me, but he’s in Pampanga kasi may restaurant kami roon. My mom is in Korea and I used to visit her but I haven’t gone to Seoul since the pandemic.
"I miss Korean food, so bili na lang ako ng bili sa online. It’s good I got busy with tiktok dance videos and online shows. I also do online workout so viewers can follow me.”
She’s happy to be a Hyundai endorser. “With Hyundai, I feel right at home. Mga gamit ko talaga sa bahay, puro Hyundai.”
Hyundai Home Appliances formally welcomed Dasuri Choi as the brand’s official endorser with a zoom presscon.
