AFTER THE wedding of Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana on October 23 at San Juan, Batangas, the next Kapuso couple to tie the knot are Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo.
They made their official announcement in the GMA newscast, “24 Oras”, last Friday.
Later on, in their own internet vlog, they shared Dennis’ making a formal marriage proposal to Jen in their own home.
Jen thought they’re just making another video for their vlog, but Dennis started getting serious, thanking Jen for coming back to his life. It will be recalled they broke up before and later reconciled.
He concludes: “Ikaw lang talaga ang gusto kong makasama. Ikaw at yung bagong addition sa pamilya natin.”
Jen couldn’t hold back his tears and quickly wiped them away.
Both of them have a child from previous relationships. Jen has a son, Alex Jazz, with actor Patrick Garcia, while Dennis has a son, Calyx, with beauty queen Carlene Aguilar.
Both Patrick and Carlene are now married to other partners.
Here’s praying the unions of Tom and Carla, Dennis and Jen, will really be for keeps and not short lived like most relationships in showbiz.
Next couple who will get married will be Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna, said to be set this November in a location out of town that they’re keeping secret.
