JULIE ANNE SAN JOSE'S 'HEAL', SECOND LEG OF HER 'LIMITLESS' TRILOGY CONCERT SET IN THE VISAYAS, ALL SET TO STREAM ON NOVEMBER 20

JULIE ANNE SAN JOSE is thankful that “Breathe”, the first leg of her “Limitless” trilogy concert, got positive feedback from viewers specially in highlighting the beauty of Mindanao where it is set.

Now, the second leg of the trilogy, “Heal”, is about to be shown on November 20 and this time it’s set in the Visayas, particularly in the mysterious island of Siquijor.

“I’m still overwhelmed by the great reviews we got from ‘Breathe’,” she says.

“We never expected that it would be that successful, but I’m thankful to GMA for giving me the opportunity to do it as we really aimed for world class quality content.

"But if they enjoyed ‘Breathe’, I’m sure all the more that they’d like ‘Heal’ kasi kakaiba ang vibe nito, mas may puso. My special guests are Rayver Cruz, my co-host in ‘The Clash’ and Jessica Villarubin, winner of Clash Season 3.”

In “Breathe”, she was shown playing the guitar. What will she do now in “Heal”?

“This time, I will play the piano, but kakaiba siya kasi I will play it in the middle of a sandbar. Mas may energy ang ‘Heal’, more fun, it’s also like a celebration but full of mystery, just like the island of Siquijor.

"For this number, we have to carry the piano into the sandbar. Mga sampung tao ang bumuhat para dalhin ito doon. Then we have to race against time, kailangang matapos kami bago mag-sundown at nang hindi kami abutan ng high tide. E, umuulan pa, so exciting.

"Kinakabahan kaming lahat. It’s a different kind of experience, but when you get to watch it, ang ganda. Worth it lahat ng pagod namin. We’re all so proud of it. It’s definitely one of my favorite performances in my entire career, capturing the sunset, singing my own song, everything is so serene and beautiful.”

She enjoyed the whole experience. “Ang tagal kong di nakapunta ng dagat, so na-miss ko talaga. ‘Breathe’ was set sa bundok where you can breathe fresh air. ‘Heal’ is sa dagat where water is the chief element so very therapeutic talaga.”

She’s thankful the show has given her the chance to travel around the country.

“Before kasi, hindi ako nakakaikot. Tapos, nagka-pandemic at ang tagal kong hindi lumabas nang bahay. Now is the perfect time for me to rediscover myself. For me, doing musical performances in various locations are very memorable, kasi I’m singing my own songs.

"I enjoyed Siquijor because I was able to immerse myself with the locals. There’s something about the place that is really magical and it really made me reflect deeper.  May healers sila and it’s a great experience making kwentuhan with them.” \

So how does she heal?

“Healing is a process. Hindi naman parang magic yan na sa isang pitik lang, ay, healed na ako. Healing is important in our life kasi you acknowledge the events in your life that hinder you to move forward and feel better.

"The first concert is ‘Breathe’ kasi taking a deep breathe is always the first step, we pause, and then we face the issues in our life that need to be addressed so we’d be totally healed, and that’s how we heal. Very timely ang healing lalo na in this pandemic.

"We want people to feel to be able to relate with it and also show the beauty of our country. Lahat ng tao kailangang dumaan sa process of healing dahil sa mga pinagdaraanan nila sa buhay. To send a message of hope na matatapos din lahat ng ito.”

“Limitless, A Musical Trilogy” is under the creative direction of Paolo Valenciano and musical direction of Myke Salomon.

It is produced by GMA Synergy, the same team behind the record-setting and the Philippines’ first-ever virtual reality concert “Alden’s Reality: The Virtual Reality Concert,” the TV airing of which earned a finalist certificate at the 2021 New York Festivals.
