POKWANG is so lucky as she has two regular shows on GMA-7 but they still allow her to do the cooking show, “Kusina ni Mamang”, on BuKo Channel.
She was absent in its presscon as she was in the Dubai Expo doing modeling work for a local designer.
She's in "Pepeito Manaloto" and in the new GMA primetime show, “Mano Po Legacy: “Her Big Boss”, she now plays the mother of lead star Bianca Umali.
“Kusina ni Mamang Season 2” will air on BuKo Channel starting March 12 at 8 PM, with Jai Ho as the Beshie ng Bayan, Pokwang’s co-host who loves working with her so much.
“Feel good ang mga kulitan namin ni Mamang sa set kasi she really bonds well with the staff and crew,” says Jhai Ho.
“I learn so much from Mamang about the old ways of cooking na nakasanayan na ng mga lola natin that does not use today’s technology like air fryer. Madali lang pala at mas masarap.
"Wala kaming recipe na inuulit-ulit, lahat laging bago, kaya we’re so happy sa feedback sa amin, dahil all over the country they send us good comments, even sa replays.
"They like yung skits naming parang sitcom. Also our celebrity guests who come from different networks like K Brosas, Troy Montero, Tony Labrusca, Elisse Joson, Barbie Imperial and many more.
"Kainan, lutuan at chikahan galore plus marami kaming trivias that we share with our viewers na nakaka-happy lang.”
At the presscon of “Mano Po Legacy 2”, Pokwang says she’s happy to be in a teleserye again. “
“Siyempre excited ako kasi three years pa ang last teleserye ko.” she says.
“I’m happy to be part of ‘Mano Po’ kasi dati ko pang pinanonood ang ‘Mano Po’ movie series. Hindi pa ko artista noong nag-start ang unang ‘Mano Po,’ e. Tapos ngayon, heto, kasama ako so nakaka-proud lang talaga.”
Pokwang and Bianca’s co-stars in “Her Big Boss” include Ken Chan and Kelvin Miranda as Bianca’s leading men, Ricardo Cepeda and Marina Benipayo as Ken’s rich and uppity parents, plus Teejay Marquez, Sarah Edwards, Blue Cailles and Sarah Holmes, directed by Easy Ferrer, the sister of Noel.
