SHAYNE SAVA and ABDUL RAMAN - the cutest pair for us
GMA NETWORK’s talent management arm, Sparkle, presents their new young love teams called Sparkle Sweethearts.
They are Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara, Sofia Pablo and Allen Ansay, Althea Ablan and Bruce Roeland, Shane Sava and Abdul Raman, and Zonia Mejia and Jamir Zabarte.
Among them, Mavy and Kyline are the ones who admit they’re really on, off and on cam.
They just starred in the recent hit soap, “I Left My Heart in Sorsogon”.
The tandems of Sofia and Allen, Althea and Bruce can be seen currently in the hit GMA Afternoon prime soap, “Prima Donnas Book 2”.
Take note that the other team of Jillian Ward and Will Astley are not part of the Sweethearts. We heard one of them refused to be identified in just one love team.
Sofia and Allen have been good friends for two years now as they do Tiktok together. Sofia says Allen is her official S.O. on the set of "Prima Donnas". Does that stand for Significant Other?
"Ay hindi po," Sofia laughs. "It means Safety Office kasi talagang inaalagaan niya ako sa lock in taping. He waits for me sa set hanggang pack up. Wala akong masasabi, mabait talaga siya."
"I enjoy doing it for her kasi best friends kami," says Allen. "Wala munang seryosohan kasi we're both still teenagers. We'll wait for the right time."
Althea says she doesn’t mind being identified with a love team.
“First time ko magka-love team and there’s pressure, so Bruce and I are helping each other.
"We attend the workshops offered by GMA to help improve our acting, hosting and singing talents and also learn a lot of new things on how to improve our personality.”
“The workshops also help us learn how to cultivate our chemistry and our relationship as a love team,” Bruce adds.
“This is an exciting journey for us and we’re thankful for this opportunity that GMA Sparkle gave us.”
Among these young love teams, one that’s really promising for us is that of Shayne Sava and Abdul Raman.
Shayne is the female winner in the last Starstuck but she really looks better off with Abdul (also a Starstruck recruit) as they’re both so cute and petite.
They’ve been paired before in “Legal Wives” and are now doing the new soap, “Raising Mamay”, with Ai Ai de las Alas.
“I’m happy to be paired with Abdul kasi friends na kami noong Starstruck pa lang,” says Shayne.
“We are both working to make our love team successful. Ginagalingan namin lagi ang acting namin and we want to grow and improve together to inspire other young people like us.”
“It’s the next big step in our careers and a big challenge for both of us,” says Abdul.
“We are taking our careers seriously and we’ll do whatever it takes to make sure the future will be rosy for our careers.”
Zonia and Jamir were first paired in “Heartful Cafe” and folks noticed their strong chemistry with each other.
“We played Buddy and Sol in it at naging maganda ang feedback ng viewers sa amin,” says Jamir.
“Since then, we’ve become more comfortable with each other. Mas nakilala namin ang isa’t isa so it’s easier for us to do everything to make sure our love team will work with audiences.”
“We feel blessed to be included in Sparkle’s list of love teams,” says Zonia.
“We’re now excited to do more projects together so we can grow more as partners on screen. We’re happy to learn together and grow more in our craft as actors.”
Well, what can we say but: Good luck to these young love teams! We pray GMA will give them truly good projects where they can excel and show that they truly deserve it to be supported by Sparkle in their careers.
