BEAUTY GONZALEZ GIVING HERSELF A DEADLINE IN SHOWBIZ. SHE'LL RETIRE WHEN HER DAUGHTER BECOMES A TEENAGER

BEAUTY GONZALES is very fortunate since she moved to GMA-7 as she is never idle for so long.

She is now back in a new and explosive drama series about infidelity, “The Fake Life”. It will start airing on GMA Afternoon Prime on Monday, June 6, replacing “Artikulo 247”.

“I’m happy na sunod-sunod ang work ko sa GMA after ‘Loving Ms. Bridgette’ on Afternoon Prime, ‘AlterNate‘ with Dingdong Dantes on primetime, and now I'm in 'The Fake Life' naman,” says Beauty who just celebrated her 31st birthday on May 28.

“Thank you for their trust in giving me very good projects.”

She welcomes working with new leading men in “The Fake Life.”

“Yes, I now get to work with award-winning actors like Ariel Rivera as my husband and Sid Lucero as the other man in my life. Nakaka-inspire silang katrabaho kasi pareho silang napakagagaling talaga.

"I feel blessed I get to play good roles at iba’t iba ang napapanood ng tao na character sa akin. Dito, ako yung unfaithful wife, marupok, ako ang nagkamali. I’m also happy to work with Direk Adolf Alix again na director ko rin sa ‘Ms. Bridgette’.”

She’s now under a new talent management. Why did she leave Arnold Vegafria and transferred to Becky Aguila?

“Ako naman, I just follow my feelings. Mabilis lang ang lahat nang lumipat ako.

"I’m now happy with Mama Becky. Everything is going on smoothly. Heto, I have a new show and I also have a new movie.”

She turned 31 on May 28. How did she celebrate it and what's her birthday wish?

“We’re still in a lock in taping for ‘The Fake Life’. Hindi pa kami tapos, so I’m busy working on my birthday. Wala na akong wish kasi I'm so happy right now, sa career ko and sa family life ko.”

She’s very thankful to her husband.

“Yes, kasi very supportive siya sa akin. He can see I’m enjoying acting at sabi niya, I should really fulfill my dreams as an actress.

"Also I want to show na kahit na may asawa na ako, I can still do all sorts of roles just like actresses abroad na kahit may family na, okay pa rin ang careers nila.”

But she is giving herself a deadline in showbiz.

“Sabi ko sa husband ko, in around six years, I promise na magre-retire na ako. When I had my daughter kasi, bumalik na ako uli agad sa work and since then, hindi na ako natigil.

"My husband saw I’m enjoying it and I’m a happy wife with a happy life. And to my daughter who’s now six, I promise na kapag teenager na siya, I will stop na and babawi ako sa kanila ng daddy niya.

"So ngayon, ginagalingan ko talaga ang trabaho ko para kahit umalis na ako, may maiwan akong mark dito.”

Does she have any other wish?

“I just want to thank GMA as I’m very happy with them at wala na akong mawi-wish pa about my career. I really cannot complain and I feel so blessed. So wala na ako talagang mawi-wish kundi, siguro, world peace.”

Doesn’t she feel awkward that she’s only 31 on May 28 but she’s now playing the mother of grown up kids?

“Okay lang naman sa akin. Hindi ako nao-offend. Trabaho lang yun and I take it as a challenge as an actress. It’s how you carry yourself lang naman.

"In my first nanay role nga, the actor who played my son, mas matanda pa sa akin, si Enzo Pineda, so sabi ko, it’s his job na mas magmukha siyang bata kaysa sa akin on screen.”
