DON'T MISS THE FINAL EPISODES OF 'MANO PO LEGACY: HER BIG BOSS' WITH BIANCA UMALI & KEN CHAN. NOW ON ITS LAST TWO WEEKS!

KEN CHAN & BIANCA UMALI WITH THEIR 'MANO PO' DIRECTOR EASY FERRER

KEN CHAN & BIANCA UMALI were paired for the first time in “Mano Po Legacy: Her Big Boss” on GMA Telebabad.

The show is having a good run and  is now on its last two weeks, ending on June 3.

We met Bianca and Ken while they are taping the show with their director, Easy Ferrer, at Regal Valencia. They say they had fun working with each other.

Unlike the first “Mano Po, The Family Fortune”, which is a family drama, “Her Big Boss” is a romantic comedy and it’s easy to see why viewers enjoy watching it as it has many comedians in the cast headed by Pokwang as Bianca’s mother.

“At first, medyo nangangapa ako kasi mas nasanay ako sa drama,” says Bianca, whose last drama series, "Legal Wives", is now being shown on Netflix.

“But with the help of our director and the comedians in the cast, naka-adjust naman ako agad and I really enjoyed doing the show.”

Just like “The Family Fortune”, the story is still set in the local Chinoy community and revolves on their family and business concerns.

At the center is the Lim Family, with the powerful father, Alex Lim (Ricardo Cepeda), who intends to pass the management of their business to his two sons, Richard (Ken Chan) and Raven (Teejay Marquez.)

Elaine (Marina Benipayo), their mother, favors Teejay as he is her favorite and tries to convince her husband to make Teejay the heir to their business empire, but Ricardo favors Ken Chan, so there’s stiff competition between the two brothers.

Bianca plays Irene, a bubbly young woman who is hired to be Ken’s assistant.

At first, they don’t see eye to eye, but eventually, they become allies and Bianca helps Ken to earn the confidence of his dad to be the head of their family’s businesses.

Eventually, Bianca and Ken develop feelings for each other.

But the problem is that Bianca already has a boyfriend, Kelvin Miranda as Nestor and they have already planned to migrate to Australia in two years.

Audiences are now being highly entertained by this quirky love triangle between Bianca and the two guys in her life.

“We are so happy to know that viewers are enjoying our show,” says Bianca. “Nakakatuwang magbasa ng comments sa internet dahil may team Ken Chan and may team Kelvin Miranda.”

So which one would she eventually choose between the two guys?

“Sa ngayon, nandun ako sa point na nalilito yung character ko kung sino ang pipiliin ko,” she replies. “Maraming nakagusto doon sa episode na nag-ice skating kami ni Ken at very romantic daw ang dating.

'But there are also some fans who root for Kelvin na very loyal sa akin. Basta wag kayong bibitaw sa last few episodes at  mare-reveal din kung sino ang mapupusuan ko sa kanila.”

After this, Bianca will next be seen in the fantasy series she did for HBO, “Half Worlds”, which she has just finished dubbing.

As for Ken, fans of his RitKen love team with Rita Daniella are hoping they’d be paired again but we heard the two stars are currently not on speaking terms because Ken feels Rita has somehow betrayed him and backstabbed him.

He was asked about this at Regal but he would rather not talk about it at all at this point.
