PIOLO PASCUAL has an upcoming series on ABS-CBN with Lovi Poe but even before they can show that, TV5 has jumped the gun on them with the airing of their own primetime series starring Papa P in the pilot episode.
This is the inspirational drama show, “Dear God”, that aims to give hope and courage to all viewers who have problems of any kind, starting this Monday, May 23, at 7:30 PM.
Directed by Richard Arellano, who used to be with ABS-CBN directing teleseryes like “La Luna Sangre” and “House Arrest of Us”, starring with Piolo in “Dear God” are Kris Bernal, Lara Quigaman, Sue Ramirez, Agot Isidro, Vina Morales, Riva Quenery, Ketchup Eusebio and many more.
The show is an anthology series featuring stories of people whose lives have changed after the Lord has blessed them.
“The objective of ‘Dear God’ is not just to inspire but also to touch the heart and deepens one’s spirituality and relationship with God,” says Direk Richard.
“Each episode will show the journey of the characters on how God touched them, how they surrendered themselves to Him and how they repent from their sins for them to achieve salvation.”
The first episode features Piolo with Lara Quigaman and teen star Harvey Bautista, son of former OC Mayor Herbert Bautista and Tates Gana. Piolo will play the role of Dr. Jake, a well known doctor who has saved the lives of so many patients but finds it very difficult to save his own son when Harvey gets sick.
The situation will help him re-assess his relationship with the Lord and strengthen his faith to offer himself and his services as a physician to God.
This is a very touching story of a man’s redemption and Piolo delivers a very memorable dramatic performance to display his acting chops, so be sure not to miss it.
Take note that other stories will center on other characters played by top stars, but all these characters will still be affecting and criss-crossing each other’s live throughout the show.
“Dear God” is a spiritually relevant show produced by Cignal Entertainment, 5 Stars Productions, Ria Productions and Heaven’s Best Entertainment. You can watch it starting this Monday, at 7:30 PM.
