"HIGH ON SEX”, a Vivamax series by Director GB Sampedro that starts airing on June 5, is about the sex life of high school students.
“The series will show kung ano ang pinagdaraanan ng mga kabataan in their teenage years,” says Direk GB.
“Ito yung time na they explore sexually, pero hindi nila pinadaraan sa mga magulang nila kundi sa mga kaibigan lang nila.
"We show that it would be nice kung sa proceso ng buhay, nandoon din sana yung mga magulang to help guide them kaysa they gain their knowledged about sex from their friends na, madalas, misconceptions lang ang naise-share sa kanila.”
“High on Sex” follows the adventures, misadventures and sexual awakening of five senior high students at Harmon Catholic University: Wilbert Ross as Gibo, Migs Almendras as Wes, Angela Morena as Mavic, Denise Esteban as Issa, and Kat Dovey as Karla.
Supporting them in the big cast are Rob Guinto, Marco Gomez, Micaella Raz, Andrea Garcia, Juami Gutierrez, Katya Santos, Sheree Bautista and Mark Carpio.
What exactly is Wilbert’s role as Gibo?
“Unlike in ‘Boy Bastos’ na bobo at tanga yung role ko, dito, Gibo is a brainy kid, a scholar and honor student in their school, pero napakalibog niya.
"He has a very high libido. Noong Junior High, girlfriend niya si Kat Dovey who said they will go all the way bago sila mag-Senior High. But she went abroad kaya nabitin ni Gibo.
"Nabaling ang attention niiya sa teacher naming napaka-sexy na lahat ng lalaki sa school ay pinapantasya siya, si Rob Guinto as Mrs. Salva, at magkakaroon kami ng very hot illicit affair.”
He said before he was not comfortable in doing nude love scenes. Is he now more adjusted to it?
“Yes, I have accepted the flaws in my body, like yung mga stretch marks sa puwet ko, wala na akong magagawa roon,” he says.
“I go to the gym to work out and I have gained more confidence. Sa tingin ko, yummy naman ako. At mas pinagbubuti ko talaga ang acting ko. I’m just sobrang thankful to Viva na tuloy-tuloy ang work ko kasi marami ngayong walang trabaho.”
He is always playing horny characters in his projects.
“Yes, and so far, puro comedies ang nagagawa ko. Later, I want to play a flaming drag queen na sobrang out na out, pero comedy pa rin. Later on, I want to try doing serious roles, like I want to play the role of psycho killer.”
Does he believe in pre-marital sex?
“Iba-iba ang tao, e. May tao talagang malilibog at hindi na makahintay. Meron namang sakto lang at hindi masyado.
"Those who have sex before marriage, I won’t judge them kasi kanya-kanya tayo ng pinaniniwalaan. I will just respect na lang lahat ng kapwa tao ko.”
Is it important for him that his partner is very good in bed?
“For me, hindi naman importante kung magaling ang partner mo. Ang importante may good connection kayo and you complement each other. Kung hindi siya masyadong magaling, di ako na lang, gagalingan ko na lang nang todo.”
Doesn’t he get worried viewers might eventually get tired of sexy shows?
“Posible. Kaya nga you have to try doing other kinds of movies para makita nilang puede ka hindi lang sa sexy movies.”
