GMA Network and Regal Entertainment’s well-loved weekly afternoon mini-series ‘Raya Sirena’ airs its final episode this Sunday, June 5.
The heartwarming fantasy series is headlined by Sparkle Sweethearts Sofia Pablo as Raya and Allen Ansay as Gavin.
In the final episode, Raya (Sofia) finds out that Elena (Bernadette Allyson) is the mermaid who has the ‘buntot na naging bato’ after getting cursed because of love. It is only through her daughter’s love that she can transform back to her normal self.
Raya then comes home with Elena whom everyone thought was long dead. Helga (Shirley Fuentes) will be the most surprised because her plans to take her brother's wealth from Raya will now be in vain.
However, Helga has the mystical shell called diwa that has guided Raya in her journey to self-discovery. She threatens to destroy it unless she gets what she wants. Raya, Elena, and the rest of her friends must find a way to stop Helga.
In the end, Raya must decide—is her heart beating for a merman or a human being?
Aside from these intense revelations, Kapuso fans must also watch out for the pristine beauty of the sea explored by Raya, Gavin, and Ape (Saviour Ramos) in the series. The power trio has proven multiple times in the show that they are not just good actors, but also great swimmers.
