SHAYNE SAVA is elated that her performance as Abigail in “Raising Mamay”, now the number one GMA Afternoon Prime show, is eliciting very good feedback not only from netizens but even from her co-stars.
Both Valerie Concepcion, who plays her biological mother, and Ai Ai de las Alas, who plays her adoptive mom in the story, praise her for her superior acting in the many dramatic scenes that she does in the show.
“Nagulat ako,” says Ai Ai. “Baguhan pa lang, pero ang galing na niyang umarte.”
“Yes,” Valerie agrees. “I told her that at the same age, nangangapa pa lang ako sa acting, pero siya, mahusay na.”
“I really want to thank everyone for their very positive comments about my acting,” says Shayne.
“Nakaka-inspire at it encourages to always do my best. Enjoy naman talaga ako to do drama scenes but I think I can still further hone my acting skills.
"So far, it’s been an awesome ride since I won sa Starstruck and sobrang thankful ako sa GMA for all the blessings na natatanggap ko sa career ko.”
Her ka-love team, Abdul Rahman, now has a show without her, “Tols” on GTV. How does she feel about it?
“Siempre, I am so happy for him. He deserves the success he’s getting, lalo na may sakit ang mother niya after having a stroke at malaki ang medical expenses nila for her.
"And I’m glad he’s given the chance to do comedy in his new show. Ako rin, I want to be given the chance to try doing comedy sometime.”
She says she was told she will be guesting in “Tols” soon to be the special partner of Abdul in one episode.
“I’m looking forward to it,” she says. “I really want to try doing comedy.”
Everyone wants to know what is the real score between her and Abdul. Is he courting her?
“I’m not sure. Wala naman siya sinasabing anything directly to me. But he gives me gifts, mga ganun. We’re happy when we are together.”
She says believes in the traditional kind of courtship.
“Gusto ko yung umaakyat sa bahay para makilala rin ng family. I go for dating so that we can get to know each other better.
"First and foremost, I want a guy who will be faithful. We all know na uso ang hiwalayan ngayon sa showbiz because of cheating, so we should all be careful. Hahahaha!”
