SANYA LOPEZ is definitely now one of the Kapuso station’s most prized properties.
They made a new big star in her after the huge success on primetime of her shows “First Yaya” and “First Lady”.
These shows made her an even bigger toprating star than her co-stars in “Encantadia” where she started.
To help continue nurture her career, she is now given the chance to be launched as a singer with her first single, “Hot Maria Clara”, that is now available on digital streaming apps like Spotify, iTunes, etc.
“Dream come true po for me itong ‘Hot Maria Clara’ kasi pangarap ko talaga noon pa na sana makapag-record ako ng sarili kong kanta,” she says.
“And I like the song kasi it’s meant for today’s young women. Ang mga dalagang Pilipina ngayon, dapat maging mas palaban, they should make their own voices be heard, be empowered to have courage to face life and all its challenges.”
She loves the lyrics of her now signature song written by composer Njel de Mesa.
“Sabi nga sa song, ang Hot Maria Clara, hindi basta paloloko sa papogi moves ng mga lalaki dahil she’s not cheap and she doesn’t do one night stands.
"Very positive ang message ng song. Just because I might be sexy, it doesn’t mean I’m easy. I’m still a demure na dalaga and you should know my worth.
"I dedicate it to today’s generation of young women para sabihing huwag na huwag tayong paaapi kahit kanino.”

Meantime, what’s her next project after “First Lady”?
“Meron na pong inihahanda ang GMA pero hindi pa po pwedeng i-reveal ang details,” she says.
“But I’m very excited kasi ibang-iba naman siya sa ‘First Yaya’ and ‘First Lady’. Baka by September po mag-start, dahil busy pa ako promoting my first single.”
We heard she will have a new leading man for her next show but she won’t give any clue as to the identity of the actor who’ll be paired with her.
It’s said the guy is not a Kapuso actor.
So it’s a guessing game as to who is the lucky Kapamilya actor who’d she get to work with.
Some say it could be John Lloyd Cruz or Xian Lim as they’re now both certified Kapuso.
Others say it could be Matteo Guidicelli who is reportedly signing up with GMA Network soon.
Still others say it could be JM de Guzman who is said to be jumping ober da bakod from being a Kapamilya to being a Kapuso soon.
Well, let’s just wait and see!
