CLOE BARRETO was just seen in “Tahan” and “The Influencer”.
She now has another Vivamax movie, “Do You Think I Am Sexy”, shown in quick succession. Isn’t she afraid of overexposure?
“No, I’m not afraid of being overexposed,” she says. “Kasi enjoy lang talaga ako when I’m acting before the camera, so give me more more movies pa.”
She played psychotic characters in her last two films: as the mad killer of different men in “Tahan” and as the obsessed fan of Sean de Guzman who holds him captive and tortures him in “The Influencer”.
So what’s her role this time in “Do You Think I Am Sexy” that will start streaming on Vivamax on September 9?
“Naku, mas mahirap yung role ko dito kasi bale I play two different roles,” she says.
“Yung normal character ko is Charlize, a college student na breadwinner din sa family nila. I earn my living by being a camgirl, creating content online for a site called ‘Do You Think I Am Sexy?’.
"Now, sa online, ang name ko is Elle, na ibang-iba kay Charlize.”
Things become complicated for her when one of her regular clients cannot get enough of her online and wants to make love to her in person.
This is Marco Gomez as Trystan, a young college instructor who is a regular subscriber of Elle. He opens up to her and shares with her all his wild and lurid sexual fantasies.
They meet each other face to face right inside the classroom when Charlize becomes a student of Trystan.
Charlize then becomes the victim of Trystan who forces her to do his own sexy videos.
If she wouldn’t agree, then he’d expose her online job.
Trystan also realizes that Elle maybe a first rate model online, but in real life, Charlize is not really a very bright student.
“Mahirap gawin sina Charlize at Elle, but with the help of our director, Dennis Marasigan, I think nagawa ko naman nang maayos. Bilang artista kasi, kailangan, lahat puede mong gawin,” says Cloe.
She’s happy that Direk Dennis has an open mind.
“Yes, ang maganda sa kanya, when I suggest something na gusto kong gawin sa eksena, hindi niya basta nire-reject.
"He’d say, sige, gawin mo, tingnan natin kung lalabas na maganda. He collaborates with his actors.”
How is it working with Marco Gomez as his abusive client and teacher?
“We know each other na kasi we’ve worked together in my first movie, ‘Silab’, with Direk Joel Lamangan. He played my lover there na nung iiwan ako, I cut off his sex organ.
"Dito, may pagka-violent din ang naging relasyon namin kasi he’s taking advantage of me.”
What does she find sexy in guys?
“Mas gusto ko kapag nakikita kong family oriented siya, responsible, marespeto sa parents niya.
"Gusto ko rin kapag may foresight siya and looks at the future para paghandaan niya. Kapag mayabang, turn off agad ako.”
