BEA ALONZO GAINED NEW INSIGHTS FROM ALDEN RICHARDS WHILE THEY'RE DOING 'START UP.PH' THAT STARTS AIRING THIS MONDAY

BEA ALONZO says she felt so flattered because her leading man, Alden Richards, in “Start Up PH” showered her with so much praise during the show’s presscon-preview.

“I’m really very thankful and yes, very, very flattered with what Alden said,” she says.“And I can say that I feel the same way about him, na siya yung parang naging welcoming committee ko sa GMA.

"We’ve worked together before in a commercial, so siyang nag-introduce sa akin sa mga kasama namin sa GMA. Close siya sa lahat ng mga tao, yung mga staff, pati sa mga artista.”

How would she describe Alden as her leading man?

“He’s very playful on the set na parang siya yung nagse-set ng tone sa shoot. Happy siya lagi. E, ako, kadalasan kasi may pagka-serious type ako pagdating sa trabaho.

"But natutuhan ko sa kanya na you don’t have to take so many things too seriously. Minsan, puwede ka rin mag-enjoy while working.”

“Start Up” is her first show as a Kapuso and she feels like she’s really starting up again.

“It’s quite challenging kasi bagong work environment, bagong mga kasama, but I am simply enjoying and whatever it is life brings to me.

"At my age, I’m not longer like in my teenage years na ang dami mong gustong patunayan, takot ka pa sa anumang sasabihin ng tao sa’yo. Now, I care less about those things and I care more about what’s going to make me happy.”

In “Start Up PH”, she plays the role of Dani, the younger sister of Yasmien Kurdi as Ina.

As children, they got separated from each other when their parents, Ayen Munji-Laurel and Neil Ryan Sese, separated.

Yasmien chose to join their mother who returned to their rich family. Bea opted to stay with her dad who is poor and jobless.

“I’m happy na ‘Start Up PH’ ang first show ko with GMA kasi ang ganda talaga ng story,” Bea adds.

“It’s about family relationships, about pursuing your dreams and aspirations in life no matter what the odds, and it’s also about love.

"And I have to commend my co-stars kasi magagaling silang lahat at nakaka-inspire silang kasama sa trabaho, and also our directors for orchestrating everything for us to come up with a really good show that we can all be proud of.”

“Start Up PH” will start its telecast this Monday evening at 8:50 PM, right after “Lolong” and just before “What We Could Be”.
