SUPREME Actress Lovi Poe is getting a lot of good feedback these days for her performance as a courageous police detective in the local adaptation of the Korean hit, “Flower of Evil”.

As Iris Castillo-del Rosario, she gets to perform a lot of action scenes, proving that she’s not only excellent in drama but even in doing shootouts and fight scenes. No wonder she’s on Cloud 9 these days.

“The series is my first entry in the mystery- suspense and action genre,” she says.

“When it was first offered to me, I thought, kaya ko ba lahat ng challenging action sequences na ipapagawa sa akin dito?

"Then I remembered that my dad FPJ is the Action King, so I accepted it. At least, for the duration of this series, I get to fulfill my dream of being an Action Queen.”

Her co-stars and the show’s staff and crew started calling her LPJ or Da Queen, in reference to her father.

“I really enjoyed having that illusion, even if it’s just for a short moment”, confesses the actress.

“I think if he were alive, my dad would be proud of all the hard work I do in ‘Flower of Evil’, which made me realized that I am really my father’s daughter.”

As a dedicated female cop, Lovi is required to do a lot of dangerous and taxing action sequences, fight scenes, chase scenes, and instead of a purse, her accessory this time is a hand gun.

“I’m really so proud of our show and I am extremely  grateful for having the best production staff, the best directors and a wonderful cast”, adds Lovi.

“I loved working with all my co- actors in the show because they are all very dedicated to the project.

"Piolo Pascual, my leading man, is very supportive and encouraging, and so are Paulo Avelino, JC De Vera and the rest of the cast.

"Puro sila magagaling and they help inspire me to be on my toes para galingan ko rin ang performance ko sa bawat eksena.”

So what’s next for Lovi?

Well, the singer-actress will again show another side of her personality with her musical skills, this time to our fellow kababayans in the United States, as she takes part in “Asap NatinTo”, a concert tour to be staged on November 5 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

In the concert, Lovie will shift from action scenes to doing fabulous song and musical numbers with her Kapamilya co-stars.

“I am looking forward to meeting all our kababayans who’d watch the show in the U.S. and I’m really excited to perform for all of them,” adds Lovi.

“We promise to give them all a good time so I call on them to come and watch us in Las Vegas on November 5.”

Lovi has also finished a new movie for Regal Entertainment, "Seasons', where she's paired for the first time with Carlo Aquino and shot on location in the Ilocos region.

She also completed an international movie shot in London, "The Chelsea Cowboy", where she plays singer Diana Gillespie. She stars opposite British actor Alex Pettyfer.
