ANGELI KHANG TALKS ABOUT RIVALRY WITH AJ RAVAL & THEIR WORKING TOGETHER IN 'US X HER"

ANGELI KHANG was introduced in a small role in “Taya”, which had AJ Raval then as the leading lady.

After that, Angeli hit it big in her own solo flicks like “Mahjong Nights” and “Silip sa Apoy”. Because of this, some folks said she has surpassed AJ as the Queen of Vivamax.

Now, they are cast together in the sex-drama “Us X Her” playing rivals for the attention of Kiko Estrada.

I strongly believe they should change the title as some folks don't even know how to pronounce it. Some say 'Us Times Her' or 'Us By Her'. But the presscon host, Phoebe Walker, says it as "Us and Her'.

There are other Vivamax movies with somewhat similar titles like "69  + 1", "5 in 1" and 2 and 1".

Can't they choose a more different sounding, easier to pronounce and catchier title?

Going back to Angeles, so how is it working with AJ?

“When I learned I will work with AJ, kinabahan ako, kasi nga lagi kaming pinagko-compare. But I also got excited to work with her as I know she’s a good actress.

"Sa shooting, we got along fine with our kulitan, food trip, kwentuhan. Masaya siyang kasama. We didn’t feel any competition at all on the set.”

“Her X Us” is directed by Jules Katanyag of GMA who did ‘Si Magdalola at ang mga Gago” for Cinema One Originals in 2016.

Kiko Estrada plays a top basketball player who is living in with AJ Raval.

Angeli plays a girl who’s is Kiko number one diehard fan even if she knows that Kiko is already with AJ.

When Kiko gets injured while playing, his career is ruined and he turns to booze and drugs.

He meets Angeli and they have an illicit affair, then when he’s trying to distance himself from her, she gets mad and dangerous.

Angeli will do everything to mess up the lives of Kiko and AJ in a case of fatal attraction.

“Nang pumasok ang character ko sa buhay nina AJ at Kiko, doon na nagulo ang lahat,” says Angeli.

“Sobrang na-obsessed kasi ako kay Kiko as his diehard fan.”

Can she relate with her character and how is it working with Kiko Estrada?

“I cannot relate to my character kasi i’ve never been a diehard fan of anyone.

'Also, I’ve never been involved in a love triangle like what happened here. Challenging yung role ko, but i think nakuha ko namang itawid yung character ko sa movie.”

How is it acting with both Kiko and AJ?

“Si Kiko is great, also with AJ. May bedscenes kaming tatlo, threesome, at nagtatawanan lang kami at kumakain pa kami while we’re in bed.

"Very comfortable ako to work with them ni AJ. We help guide each other.

"They’re both hardworking and they’re on point sa acting nila, we’re all prepared and we’re happy nagawa namin what our director expected from us.”

She’s glad to have challenging roles like in this film and her recent “Girl Friday”.

“Ang fear ko kasi, baka nagsasawa na ang mga tao sa hubad na katawan ko, but in these films, it’s more of acting na ang ipinakita ko.

"Sa ‘Girl Friday’, asawa ako ni Jay Manalo at matrona andating ko, pinatanda ako pati sa mga damit na ipinasuot nila sa akin at sa hairdo ko.

"Dito sa ‘Us X Her’, I play my age now but it’s so different from my past roles kasi, dito, ang character ko, kung magmahal siya todo-todo.

"Sobrang obsessed sa love niya for Kiko, and that love turns into hatred when she’s rejected and everything turns into chaos.

"Yung character ko, extremes ang shifts ng emotion from being happy to breaking down and sa dulo, she’s consumed with hatred.

"Mahirap talaga siya, but I enjoyed it.”
