GABBY EIGENMANN is grateful to be part of GMA-7’s new show that’s a bonafide hit on primetime, “Start Up PH” and also another new show, the big-budgeted “Voltes V Legacy”.
“May ipinagagawa akong bahay kaya hayaan nyo na,” he says at the presscon of “Start Up PH.”
He says he watched the original Korean “Start Up” and while watching it, he felt it would have a Filipino adaptation and he secretly hoped that he would a part of it.
“Tapos heto nga, nagkatototoo na!” he exclaims. “So big blessing talaga.
"It gives me the chance to act with Bea Alonzo. Di nyo lang alam, pero secret fan ako ng love team nina Bea at John Lloyd Cruz.
'I watched their movies and now, pareho na silang nasa GMA.
"Sana nga, matapos na ang sinasabing network war para we can get all the chance to work with each other kahit ibang network ang pinanggalingan nyo.}
In “Start Up PH”, Gabby plays the scheming stepfather of Bea and Yasmien Kurdi.
“When I was told kasama ako sa series, I was so overwhelmed, I’m so happy and ecstatic, kasi noon ko pa na-imagine ko na sana nga, maka-work ko si Bea and now I’m given the opportunity to do so.”
Someone asked him if he’s not scared that so many stars are moving to GMA and might get the parts meant for him.
“Why would I get scared? Hindi ko naman pag-aari ang GMA at masasabi kong bahay ko ito.
"Happy nga ako na makatrabaho ko sila, so I have to welcome them and make them feel at home as a Kapuso.
"Dahil nga bagong lipat siya, ipinaramdam ko kay Bea yun, na we welcome her.
"Dinadalaw ko siya sa dressing room niya to say ‘Hi, hello, kumusta ka naman dito?’
"We should always welcome new artists coming in kasi maliit lang ang mundo ng show and I’m sure we’ll also learn from them.”
He’s just so thankful that he is currently involved in two new show.
“I never really imagined na ginagawa ko ang ‘Voltes V’ at saka ‘Start-Up PH’, two of the biggest shows ng GMA. Iba! Umuuwi ako ng bahay at midnight and I pray.
"Parang, ‘Lord, thank you so much for all these blessings and thank you for keeping my feet on the ground.’
"Nararamdaman ko nung nagte-taping ako, thank you at nabubuo na yung bahay na pinagagawa ko. My heart is just full of gratitude.”
