BEA BINENE just signed up with Viva Artists Agency a couple of weeks ago and now, she has a new project.
She’s part of the 10-episode series, “The Rain in Espana”, that Viva won’t be showing on Vivamax but in new platform that will be announced soon.
Bea celebrated her 25th birthday on November 4, the day after the show’s story conference held at La Reve Events Place.
She considers the show as a sign that she’s now starting a new chapter in her life.
“For 18 years, I was with GMA and now, I’m facing a new adventure with Viva at nakakapanibago kasi I’m working with new co-stars, new director, new production staff,” she says.
“Medyo may kaba kasi this is my first project outside the network where I grew up. But I welcome all the challenges.
"I’m excited and I feel so blessed dahil just a few days after I signed up with Viva, nagpatawag na agad sila for a script reading in this new assignment.
"Tapos, binigyan na nila ako ng schedule ng workshops namin at ng taping.”
In “The Rain in Espana”, Bea plays Via, a UST architecture student who is part of the group of friends that include Heaven Peralejo as Luna, Aubrey Caraan as Samantha, Krissha Viaje as Yanna, Nicole Omillo as Kierra.
The show is the first in a series of Wattpad novels called the University Series.
Each of the girls will have their own TV series later.
As Via, Bea’s character is level headed and sensible. As such, she is considered as the conscience of their barkada and you can rely on her to give valuable advice when you have a problem.
She will later star in her own series entitled “Golden Scenery of Tomorrow”.
“Doing a popular novel like this can be demanding kasi napakaraming nagbabasa ng Wattpad University Series written by Gwy Saludes,” Bea adds.
“So may pressure for us, kasi malaki at mataas ang expectations ng mga nakabasa dito. We have to really do our best to give justice to our roles so that we can meet the expectations of viewers.”
Would she miss her friends in GMA Network? “Of course, matagal din ang pinagsamahan namin, e. But it’s now time for me to move on, meet new people, make new friends in a new environment.
"So far, okay naman kami ng lahat ng kasama ko dito sa ‘The Rain in Espana’.
"Our director made us take some workshops where we got to know each other better and we also had a night out so we can hang out together and have a good bonding na kailangan para maging comfortable kaming lahat sa isa’t isa while taping the show.”
