VIVAMAX SEX SIREN Michaella Raz is launched in her solo-starrer, “Bata Pa si Sabel”, a drama-suspense flick about love and revenge.
It is created by internationally acclaimed director Brillante Mendoza and will show how a heinous crime can turn a sweet, cheerful woman into a bitter, vengeful person with violence in her heart.
Micaella says she’s so thankful to Vivamax and creative producer Direk Brillante for entrusting to her the lead role of “Bata Pa si Sabel”.
“Napakaganda ng role at ng project kaya I feel so lucky na sa akin napunta ito,” she says.
“I really did my best nang hindi sila magsisi sa pagtitiwala nila sa akin. And I’m thankful na kinuha nila ang two elder sisters ko, Angela Morena and Stephanie Raz, to be part of the cast.
"We shot the movie on location in Mindoro for one month at talagang sinuportahan nila ako nang husto.”
She plays Sabel in the story, a young bride who is gang-raped during her honeymoon, with Benj Sangalang as her ill-fated husband, Bryan.
Three men barge into their honeymoon suite, then force Bryan to watch as they molest and violate her.
Benz is ruthlessly tortured then the bad guys kill the couple and dump their dead bodies into the ocean.
Miraculously, Sabel survives the evil deed and ends up in an isolated island.
There, she meets the man who is going to help her implement her revenge plans, Julio Diaz as Mang Nestor, an ex-military officer who trains her how to fight.
Disguised as a different person and armed with a dagger, Sabel goes back to her hometown.
With the kind of suffering she has prepared for her assailants, they will surely regret ever laying their hands on her.
JC Tan plays Jethro Banzon, the leader of the rapists. He’s the son of a local mayor and married with children, but is also having an affair with Sabel’s friend.
Rash Flores plays Marvin Ruiz, Jethro’s best friend who also serves as his personal bodyguard.
He instigated the idea of killing Sabel and Bryan. Chad Solano plays Alex Dalina, Jethro’s driver and personal assistant. He obeys whatever Jethro tells him to do.
Angela Morena plays Cassy Ronda, Jethro’s mistress and Sabel’s friend. Gardo Versoza plays the corrupt Mayor Sonny Banzon.
Behind Mayor Banzon’s charismatic persona lies a cruel man who has made life hell for Mang Nestor before.
As Sabel exacts her revenge with the help of Mang Nestor, some dark truths are waiting to come to light.

“Bata Pa Si Sabel” is the directorial debut of Reynold Giba, who wrote the scripts of “Sisid” and “Virgin Forest” for Direk Brillante Mendoza who he considers as his mentor.
