KIKO ESTRADA’s career really got a big boost when he moved to Viva.
He has one new movie after another streaming on Vivamax. He was first seen in “Sitio Diablo”, followed by “Us x Her”.
Currently streaming is “Laruan” and coming up soon as Vivamax’ first offering for January is “Panibugho” that starts on January 6.
He has also canned another film shot on location in Thailand, “Balik Taya” for Roman Perez Jr.
Kiko is the first to admit that he is not as hunky as the other Vivamax actors who have no qualms about baring their all on screen.
“Hindi naman ako yung tipong laging nagwo-workout sa gym like them,” he says.
“But I don’t have a big tummy and I’ve shown my bare backside, but hanggang doon lang.
"My real goal is to show my acting talent and be recognized as a good actor who is not afraid to do out unusual roles that are out of the box.
"I’m now 27 years old at tapos na ko sa good boy and tweetum roles that I used to do when I was younger.”
His new movie, “Panibugho”, with real life sisters Angela Morena, Stefani and Micaella Raz, is about jealousy.
It’s the three sisters who get jealous with each other because he gets involved with all of them. In real life, is he the jealous type?
“Yes, I’d say so, seloso ako. It’s a sign that you are really in love with your partner kaya ka nagiging jealous.
"But I get jealous not only in love but even in my career. I feel insecure when some folks seem so successful but I handle it in a positive way.
"I use it as a challenge to motivate to improve myself and be better in my craft.”
He used to cling to the roles he plays.
“I have a hard time of letting go of the characters I play. But since I’m doing one movie after another, I have to learn how to let go real quick.
"I had to do it with much effort but I really love my job, so now, I’ve taught myself to be more adjustable in the complex and mature roles that Viva is giving to me.
"I just try my best to understand my role and then try to do it justice. I want to show them that I’m one of our best actors now.
"It’s very demanding but I’m falling in love with my craft all over again.”
What’s the most difficult part in his work?
“Mahirap palang mag-plaster while doing the intimate scenes, specially when it’s time to take it off. Hahahaha!
"Lalo na in this movie, Panibugho’. This is more daring than anything I’ve done before kasi I make love to all the three girls.”
What’s the movie all about?
“The story is set in 1999 and I play a stranger who gets into the girl’s lives. I love my role here as the mysterious outsider.
"I was wounded and they took care of me, tapos, ayun, ako ang pinagmulan ng gulo sa family nila.
"It will turn out I have an ulterior motive kaya ako napadpad sa lugar nila. Gusto ko palang maghiganti.
"Why and what happens to me and the girls, you have to find out when ‘Panibugho’ starts streaming on Vivamax on January 6 as their first offering for the New Year 2023.”
