CAMILLE PRATS has been doing a lot  of hosting jobs these past few years but now, she is back acting before the camera in the forthcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series, “AraBella”.

“Na-miss ko rin talagang umarte,” she says. “The last regular soap I did is ‘Ang Forever Ko’y Ikaw’ with Neil Ryan Sese in 2018 pa.

"So bale five years ago na. Kaya nga when GMA told me I’d do a soap, siempre, yes agad ako.”

“AraBella” is directed  by Adolfo Alix Jr., with Patrick Ilagan as concept creator.

Camille plays Rosella, the successful owner of a chocolate confectionary business.

While in church, her daughter Bella goes out and when Camille follows her, the little girl goes missing and can no longer be found anywhere.

Camille searched for her missing daughter everywhere but even the police cannot find her.

She is inconsolable, but life has to go on for her. Ten years quickly pass and two teenagers present themselves to her as her long lost daughter: Ara and Bella.

Both of them quickly gain her confidence and she feels attached to both girls, but only one can be her real daughter, right?

Portraying the two teenage girls, Ara and Bella, are talented young Kapuso actresses, Shayne Sava and Althea Ablan.

Shayne is the winner in the last Starstruck. She was last seen with Ai Ai de las Alas in “Raising Mamay”.

Althea Ablan gained her own set of fans for her appearance in the hit drama series, “Prima Donnas 1 and 2”.

Camille has maintained her youthful looks, so won’t she look awkward playing the role of a mom to teenage girls?

“I eat healthy, I exercise regularly, I avoid stress, kaya siguro sabi nga nila, mukhang bagets pa rin ang hitsura ko,” she beams.

“But this June, I will already be 38 years old, so puede na talagang akong maging mother ng teenagers.

"And in real life, my eldest, si Nathan, is teenager na talaga at 15 years old.”

She’s happy that both Shayne and Althea are very good young actresses.

“Pareho silang magaling kaya nakakatuwa silang kaeksena. Mahusay silang magdrama at hindi sila magpapatalbog kahit sa mga beteranong artistang kasama nila.”

She’s also glad that GMA has given them a powerhouse supporting cast that includes QC Councilor Alfred Vargas, Wendell Ramos, Nova Villa, Ronnie Lazaro, Klea Pineda, Saviour Ramos, and Shayne’s ka-love team, Abdul Rahman, who’ll surely bring much kilig to their fans.

Camille’s diehard fans who have been with her since she starred as a child actress in “Sarah, Munting Prinsesa”, have expressed their joy in the internet that she’s back in an acting role.

An ardent fan even wrote: “Ooooh, she is baaack! We missed her doing drama on screen so we’re happy that she will be acting again in ‘AraBella’. May aabangan na naman kaming loyal fans niya.”
