SID LUCERO is so lucky. He ended 2022 with “Bugso” with Ayanna Misola (now streaming on Vivamax) and starts 2023 with “Night Bird” with Christine Bermas (streams beginning January 13.)
What’s his role in “Bugso”, directed by Adolf Alix Jr?
“I play Dado, driver ako ni Ayanna as Estella pero lover din niya ako at partner niya sa sexual acts na pinagagawa sa kanya ng customers niya,” he says. “Actually, in love si Dado kay Estella, but ang tingin lang sa kanya nito, business partner.
"Whatever the customer asks, we give it to them, depende sa ibabayad nila. What we do is we make sure there’s a little bit of everything for everybody para lahat, satisfied.”
Problems arise when they rescue another girl from an irate customer who’s beating her up, Hershie de Leon as Baby.
They invite her to stay with them and soon, she is openly flirting with Sid and seducing him. He’s a more seasoned actor compared to Ayanna and Hershie who are both newcomers.
How is it working with beginners like them when he already has so many acting awards?
“I don’t see myself naman as Sid Lucero, an award-winning actor . I don’t leave the house thinking I’m an actor with acting trophies to show and baguhan lang sila.
"I’m always excited to work with new actors and help them. I see to it that I’m very approachable and they can talk to me about anything about our roles. I’m also glad to for us to rehearse our scenes together.”
So how is it working with Ayanna and Hershie in “Bugso”?
I love them both. Conscious ako nung una kasi first time ko to work with both of them, but they’re both easy to work with.
"In the sensitive sexy scenes, I feel like I’m a little baby and I just let them take over.
"I’m game to do anything for as long as we’re both comfortable ng partners ko. With Ayanna and Hershie, they’re both willing to learn and it’s really nice to watch them unfold and bloom with the help of Direk Adolf.”
Ayanna says they have a bed scene where Direk Adolf ordered her to pull down his briefs and she was surprised because he was not wearing any plaster.
“Yes, and I’m embarrassed. Ambilis ng kasi ng mga pangyayari. Nang sabihin ni direk alisin ang briefs ko, I didn’t know ipapagawa pala yun and action na agad.
"It’s hard for a male to get into a strictly professionoal mood right away from the get go, specially in our industry where everything is sexualized. But I’m learning how to cope with the demands of the job.”
The word “bugso” means impulse. Is he impulsive and one who gets by his “bugso ng damdamin”?
“The way i was programmed to handle my emotions while I was growing up is not the best kind of programming for anyone.
"I have a short fuse and I get angry easily. In my younger years, I did a lot of stupid things. But now that i’m more mature, i’ve learned to control myself better and not to just act on impulse.”
In “Bugso”, he has a threesome bedscene with both Ayanna and Hershie. In real life, who would he want to be with in doing a threesome?
“I’d like to be with Sophia Loren and Elizabeth Taylor as they’re two of the most beautiful women in their prime. Sa local, I don’t wanna name anyone and put myself in hot water.”
How about in “Night Bird”, what is his role?
“Magkakaibigan kami rito nina Felix Roco and Arron Villaflor. We scout around for girls in bars na puede naming mai-date. Then we drink with them and we put drugs into their drinks.
"Kapag drugged na sila, we bring them to the house of Mark Anthony Fernandez and we do everything we want to do with them.”
What they didn’t know is that one of the girls that they violated, Christine Bermas as Rachel, is an expert martial artist and when she regains consciousness, she makes them all pay for the indignities that they subjected her to.
