Matagumpay na inilunsad ng GMA Network ang pinakabago nitong regional station, ang GMA Ilocos Norte, noong March 17.
Mapapanood ang GMA Ilocos Norte sa GMA TV 5 sa free TV, GMA Affordabox, at GMA Now. Ito ang ika-12 na regional station ng Kapuso Network sa buong bansa at ika-lima sa Luzon kasunod ng GMA Dagupan, GMA Ilocos Sur, GMA Bicol, at GMA Batangas.
“With the launch of GMA Ilocos Norte Station as one of the key hubs of GMA Regional TV, this strengthens our local news coverage in North Central Luzon, and solidifies GMA Integrated News’ position as the ‘News Authority of the Filipino.’ Recently, as part of our 2023 initiatives, we have also introduced our morning news program 'Mornings with GMA Regional TV' which perfectly complements our top-rating afternoon newscast 'GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon,'” pahayag ni First Vice President at Head of GMA Regional TV and Synergy, at Acting Head of GMA Integrated News Oliver Victor Amoroso.
Nakasama ni Amoroso sa station inauguration at blessing sina Rizalina D. Garduque, Consultant for Sales, Sales and Marketing Group; Ann Marie O. Tan, Senior Assistant Vice President for Local Sales, and concurrent Station Manager for Central and Eastern Visayas; Sheila Marie R. Medina, Senior Station Manager for GMA Ilocos Sur and Norte Stations; Jennevieve Ocaña, Station Manager, Zamboanga; at iba pang GMA RTV Head Office Managers.
Dumalo rin dito sina Ilocos Norte Vice Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos, Laoag City Mayor Michael Marcos Keon, at Vice Mayor Carlos Fariñas.
Bilang bahagi ng activities ng station launch, nagbigay ng good vibes sa Kapuso fans ang Sparkle artists at ‘TikToClock’ hosts na sina Rabiya Mateo at Jayson Gainza sa isang Kapuso Mall Show sa Robinsons Ilocos noong araw ring iyon.
Naghatid din ng powerful song numbers sina Hannah Precillas at Garret Bolden ng ‘All-Out Sundays.’ Si Martin Javier mula sa ‘Game On!’ ng GMA Synergy ang naging host ng Kapuso Mall Show.
Sa ngayon ay mayroon ng limang regional station ang GMA sa Luzon, tatlo sa Visayas, at apat sa Mindanao.
Bukod pa rito, naging matagumpay rin ang launch ng ‘GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon’ noong September 2022. Abot ng newscast ang mga probinsya ng Pangasinan, Benguet, La Union, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pampanga, Tuguegarao, Isabela, Baler, Olongapo, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, at Batanes. Ngayong taon naman, nai-launch ng GMA RTV ang morning news show na ‘Mornings with GMA Regional TV.’
Patuloy ang GMA RTV sa pagpapatatag ng misyon ng Network na mapagyaman ang buhay ng mga Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng ‘responsible delivery of news and information’ sa bawat komunidad sa bansa. Kaya naman, kamakailan lamang ay nakuha nito ang Regional TV Network of the Year award sa 2023 Platinum Stallion National Media Awards.
