JAMESON BLAKE was discovered when he joined PBB Teens in 2015 then he became part of the Showtime dance group, Hashtags.
He made quite a splash when he did the indie film “2 Cool 2 Be Forgotten”, for which he won the Cinema One Filmfest best supporting actor award.
He then did lead roles in movies like “Mama’s Girl”, “Haunted Forest”, “So Connected” and “Babaeng Allergic sa Wifi”, all made outside of ABS-CBN.
With ABS, he was given mostly supporting roles in “Hello Love Goodbye” and “The Mall The Merrier”, and villain roles in soaps like “Ngayon at Kailanman” and “Family Affair”.
He is now hosting “The Chosen One, Chugi Night”, which is connected with “The Chosen One, Kakatacute”, an inter-active horror comedy show led by Angeline Quinto and Chad Kinis.
There are many characters in the story and each Saturday, Jameson and co-host Karina Bautista will lead the elimination or “pili” night where viewers can vote which one of the show’s characters they will choose to die in the next episode.
Many folks thought his career would soar after the successive movies he did in a starring role.
Is he happy with the way it’s going now?
“Yes, I’m satisfied naman. I didn’t expect it to really boom. But as it is, steady lang siya. Hindi naman ako nawawalan ng work.
"Even during the pandemic, I was busy. I’m surviving, so I’m not complaining, but I’m still waiting for the right role and the right timing.”
Aside from “The Chosen One”, he is also doing a sitcom for TV5, ‘Jack n Jill sa Diamond Hills’, where he is the third wheel in the romance of Jake Cuenca and Sue Ramirez.
He is also supposed to start shooting a new movie by the end of the month, “Ang Ina Mo”, with Charlie Dizon, for Director Joel Lamangan.
And he’s really happy to be part of PIE (Pinoy Interactive Entertainmen) Channel’s first anniversary celebration and its brand new season of exciting programs, more face to face experiences, and new ways of winning the hearts of KaTroPIEs around the country.
Originally positioned as a TraDigital platform—an intersection of traditional and digital—when it launched last year, PIE enters its second year as an interactive and rewarding platform where people can increase their chances of winning while having fun by simply clicking on their mobile phones or engaging via the website.
With every click or pindot, our KaTroPIEs can earn points, win instant cash prizes, premium items, and gain meaningful connections and experiences. As PIE celebrates its 1st PIEnniversary, it launches its new campaign "Pindot PIEnalo."
"Pindot PIEnalo ka, dahil kada pindot, PIEnalo ka more," says Alex Asuncion, the PIE Channel Head. “You can ewin so easily just by a tap, press, or swipe on any device. It emphasizes the variety of ways everyone can win by interacting during PIE's different programs.”
“With Pindot PIEnalo, anyone has a chance to win more cash rewards,” says Ian Monsod, PIE’s CEO. “It also allows the audience to engage with our PIE jocks in real time, wherever you are and whatever device you are using.”
