RICHARD GUTIERREZ left for Italy to shoot spectacular action sequences for his blockbuster primetime action-drama series, “The Iron Heart”.
He left with co-stars Albert Martinez, Ian Veneracion and Jake Cuenca, who play the primary villains to him in the story, along with Director Lester Pimentel Ong and their production staff.
“The Iron Heart” is extended for its third season and this is perfectly understandable, as the show is not only rating very high but is also full of advertising load.
The feedback from its viewers are also positive, with netizens praising the show’s handsome production values and Richard’s intense portrayal of the lead role, specially his dedication in doing his own stunts in the show’s dangerous action scenes that are all shot on location in Cebu.
Some folks call him the local James Bond.
It will be recalled that the climax of Keanu Reeves’ “John Wick 4”, a big hit, showed its big action scenes shot in the busy city of Paris.
And yet, they were able to shoot around Arch de Triomph and at the church on the top of the hill at Montmartre, the Sacre Coeur.
Maybe that is what Richard and his staff want to duplicate, by shooting key action scenes of “The Iron Heart” at the equally busy city of Rome.
Let us see if they could also shoot scenes in the Vatican.
“Marami kaming pasabog na eksena,” says Richard. “Siempre, hindi ko naman puedeng i-reveal dito.
"Basta we are doing everything to make the action scenes we will shoot in Rome truly memorable for our viewers.
"Bale thanksgiving din namin ito sa kanila for following us faithfully these past six months. So basta abangan nila and I promise we will not disappoint them.”
They will be shooting in Italy everyday. No time to go around and see the sights as he has to come back right away.
He will be part of the Kapamilya Kalayaan Karavan for TFC that is in celebration of the coming Independence Day celebrations on June 12.
He will do shows at Dubai, the United Arab Emirates on June 10 with his “The Iron Heart” leading ladies, Sue Ramirez and Sofia Andres.
Then on June 17, he will be going to London for the Kapamilya Kalayaan Karavan in North Yorkshire.
And from there, he will fly to Madrid, Spain for another TFC event at the Salesianos Estrecho Colegio de San Juan Bautista.
As maybe expected, Richard is bringing his beautiful better half, Sarah Lahbati, along in his European journey.
