RURU MADRID is the busiest Kapuso young actor these days. His primetime soap, “The Write One”, where he stars with real life squeeze Bianca Umali, is still being shown on GMA Telebabad.
And now, so many projects are already lined up for him in quick succession.
He’s currently doing a movie with Yassi Pressman, “Video City”, a co-production between Viva Entertainment and GMA Films.
Then he will do an action-drama series with new transferee, Matteo Guidicelli, entitled “Black Rider”.
And then he has another movie to shoot with Enrique Gil, Kylie Padilla and Buboy Villar, tentatively titled “Disband”.
This obviously means that the projected part two of his hit action-adventure series, “Lolong”, will no longer push through.
Earlier, it was announced that they are projecting to shoot the “Lolong” sequel in the second half of this year.
But with Ruru now so busy with many other projects, it looks like the sequel has been shelved.
Meantime, Ruru is happy he is given the chance to work with new co-stars in all his projects.
“Si Yassi Pressman, nakatrabaho ko na sa GMA a long time ago noong Kapuso pa siya,” he says.
“Actually, siya ang first crush ko sa GMA at that time, but I never go to tell her that.
"Sobrang natuwa ako when I was told na siya ang makakapareha ko sa ‘Video City’, kasi nakita yung growth niya through the years as an actress and as a performer.
"So now, I’m happy to be given the chance to work with her. Maganda yung story ng movie namin kasi may element ng time travel.”
How about Matteo and Enrique?
“Siempre, I’m so thankful to be given the chance to work with them kasi before, parang impossible dahil mga taga-kabilang network sila.
"But now, I’m happy that nagkaroon ako ng pagkakataong makatrabaho sila and I’m looking forward to our shoots together.”
Ruru has just returned from Paris, France, where he shot the final scenes of their show ‘The Write One’.
“Ang saya nga kasi trabaho pero nakapagbakasyon din kami. Pareho naming first time doon and it’s very memorable for both of us.”
They enjoyed seeing the sights frequented by tourists, like the Eiffel Tower and Arche de Triomphe.
“We felt we both deserve it kasi we’ve been doing a lot of hard work these past couple of months.
"But now that we’re back home, focus kami ulit sa trabaho kasi may projects kaming magkahiwalay na kami uli.
"She has her own individual projects and I have mine, kaya nilubos-lubos na namin ang aming pagbabakasyon sa Paris.”
