AFTER PLAYING A GHOST IN 'DELETER', LOUISE DE LOS REYES BACK IN A LEAD ROLE AS THE PERPLEXED HEROINE OF SIX-PART VIVA ONE SERIES 'DEADLY LOVE'

DIREK DERICK CABRIDO with cast: LOUISE DE LOS REYES, JACLYN JOSE, MARCO GUMABAO and MCCOY DE LEON

LOUISE DE LOS REYES was last seen playing a supporting role as the ghost in "Deleter" last December.

She now gets to play the lead role in the six-part miniseries on Viva One, “Deadly Love”.

This will start streaming on July 10, as written by Enrico Santos and directed by Derick Cabrido.

The miniseries is a suspenseful murder-mystery thriller where the viewers will have to figure out what's really happening on screen and whether the characters are good or bad.

“Mostly gray ang characters that we play in the story,” says Louise.

“I play the role of Tessa. Parents ko rito sina Jaclyn Jose as Marga and Raffy Tejada as Julio. But may lihim pala silang itinatago sa akin tungkol sa tunay na pagkatao nila.”

She then meets Marco Gumabao as Amir.

“We fall in love but my parents are against him. Nagbibiruan kami. I tell him, malay mo, serial killer ako. And he says, malay mo, ako pala yung mamamatay-tao.”

Then Marco as Amir suddenly goes missing.

“Walang nakakaalam kung ano ang nangyari sa kanya. Everybody says patay na siya, pero ayokong maniwala kasi I can feel na buhay pa siya.

"Then dumating si McCoy de Leon as Benjo, a cop investigating the disappearance of Marco and the story will get even more complicated nang magkakalapit din ang mga damdamin namin.

"He checked on the characters of my parents and the mystery deepens. Kasi he finds out na fictitious pala ang kanilang identities.

"Marami pang twists and turns sa takbo ng story that will surely surprise the viewers.”

Louise is thankful to Viva One for giving her a good role in this dark and perplexing miniseries where things are not just what they seem.

“My role as a young woman who seems to have gotten caught in a dizzying web of lies and intrigue is really very challenging.

"Maraming demanding scenes where I get emotional and it can be quite draining. But it’s all worth it. I enjoyed playing such a taxing but fulfilling role.”

She’s happy she got to work with very competent actors.

“Working with Tita Jaclyn Jose can really be very fulfilling kasi ang galing niya. Walang ka-effort-effort umarte, pero very effective.

"I also enjoyed working with Marco, McCoy and Tito Raffy Tejada. They're all real pros.

"And I want to thank our director, Derrick Cabrido, for guiding me all the way.

"First time ko to work with him and I wouldn’t be able to play the character of Tessa well without him guiding me every step of the way while we were shooting this in Mauban, Quezon kung saan inabot pa kami ng bagyo.”

Derick Cabrido first made waves in 2014 when his debut film, “Children’s Show”, about young boys being used in an underground wrestling competition, won several awards in the Cinemalaya Filmfest that year.

He followed it up with “Tuos” starring Nora Aunor and Barbie Forteza.

His last films are the thriller, “U Turn”, starring Kim Chiu and the horror film about possession, “Clarita”, with Jodi Sta. Maria.

He’s also slated to direct the new Piolo Pascual horror flick, “Mallari”.
