COLEEN GARCIA LEADS CAST OF BOOK TURNED INTO A VIVA ONE MINI-SERIES, 'KUNG HINDI LANG TAYO SUMUKO, DIRECTED BY CARLO CATU

DIRECTOR CARLO CATU did two indie films that won awards “Paano Hinihintay ang Dapithapon” and “Ari, My Life with the King”.

He then did mini-series for iWant and Cignal TV like “Misis Piggy”, “My Delivery Gurl”, “Now Streaming” and “My Single Lady”.

He now directs the 6-part mini-series, “Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko” for Viva One, based on a book of poems by Marcelo Santos III.

It is about the joys and pains of love and romance.

In wedding vows, lovers make promises of love to keep their  relationship strong.

To stand by each other, for better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness, in health, till death do you part.

But sometimes, before we can even make these promises, we fall short and face uncertainties that make us question the relationship that we're in.

Then we realize that in some cases, maybe loving someone also means just letting them go.

From the author of such hits as “Para Sa Hopeless Romantic” and “Para Sa Broken Hearted”, Marcelo Santos III, this is a heart-wrenching series that will teach us about love and when to give it a second or even a third chance.

“Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko” focuses mainly on three couples.

First is Allie (Coleen Garcia) and Benedict (Carlo Aquino) who met through a whirlwind romance and managed to stay strong and keep their relationship.

Benedict proposes to Allie, and the two look forward to their years of growing old together.

Things look promising for the couple, but as they prepare for their wedding, the buried cracks and flaws of their relationship start to resurface because of their different family backgrounds.

It makes them re-evaluate their decision.

The next couple is Georgina (Rhen Escaño), a fashion designer, and Mark (Jerome Ponce).

They are in a long-distance relationship and are slowly drifting apart.

Mark works in Canada for one year. Rhen approves it for his own career growth and then realizes it’s not easy to have an LDR kind of romance.

The last couple is Sandy (Ryza Cenon), who acts as a mother to her friends and voice of wisdom, but got pregnant early so she gets married and her husband, Derrick (Kiko Estrada), turns out to be a womanizer.

Until when will she jeep on forgiving his repeated infidelity?

Also in the series are Andrea del Rosario, Jeric Raval, Maricel Morales, Jojo Abellana, Jourdanne Castillo and Andrew Muhlach.

Lovers and married couples will surely be able to relate with the characters and stories portrayed in “Kung Hindi Lang Tayo Sumuko”, a series produced by Studio Viva that streams exclusively on Viva One soon.
