EISEL SERRANO made waves last April when her movie with Carlo Aquino, “Love You Long Time”, made it as an official entry in the summer Metro-Manila Filmfest.
She and Carlo play characters who get to know each other through an old cellphone but it turns out they belong to different time periods.
The film got good reviews and even won as third best picture.
Eisel is turning 25 on September 23. She is the middle child of three siblings and her parents hail from Tarlac.
She is a college graduate, with a degree in travel management, cum laude, from the University of Sto Tomas.
In her last year in college in 2018, she took several acting workshops with ABS-CBN with Belle Mariano and Charlie Dizon as her batchmates.
Aside from acting, she also into singing and dancing.
She got to act in some episodes of “Maalaala Mo Kaya”.
She was also cast in the movie, “Anak ng Macho Dancer”, where she’s supposed to play a lead role but Star Magic didn’t allow her to do so sexy scenes so she just played a minorm supporting role.
She is also part of the movie “Kontrabida” starring Nora Aunor.
She also played a supporting role, but she’s glad that she had to do scenes with Nora. The movie has yet to be officially released.
How does she feel when people say she looks like Janine Gutierrez?
“Of course, I’m so flattered because Janine Gutierrez is Janine Gutierrez. Maganda na, magaling pa so flattering talaga.
"But eventually, I want to have my own identity and my own image.”
Who among the current Viva stars would she like to get to work with?
“Unang-una, si Sarah Geronimo who is so good in singing and acting. I really admire her and I hope that someday, I will be given the chance to work with her.
"Among their actors, hindi na ako lalayo, I also want to get to work with Matteo Guidicelli who’s now also with Viva.”
How about among the directors of Viva, who would she like to work with?
“Si Jason Paul Laxamana po. I’ve seen his movies and I like them. I also got to meet him in 2019 at magkakasundo kami kasi pareho kaming Kapampangan.”
Now that she’s with Viva, is she ready to accept the sexy projects that they show on Vivamax streaming platform?
“Okay lang po for me to do kissing scenes but yung sobrang sexy hindi ko pa kaya. I still prefer to do more wholesome roles.
"But if the script is really good at maganda talaga ang role ko, let’s see kung pupuede kong gawin. Viva has lined up projects for me but there’s nothing definite yet.”
She’s happy to be with Viva now.
“Kasi before, sa Star Magic, during the pandemic, ang daming projects na hindi natuloy and I felt I was not really growing.
"So nataon naman, someone took me to Viva and now, I’m just starting with them and I expect to gain a lot of learnings and do good projects with them.”
