DIRECTOR JOEY REYES was absent at the screening-presscon of his movie, “Patikim-tikim”, as he is currently in Canada attending the Toronto International Filmfest.
The lead actor, Aerol Carmelo, was also a no show even if this is his first starring role as he is shooting the movie “Haliparot” in an out of town location for multi-talented Director Bobby Bonifacio Jr.
Present at the affair were the other cast members: Yen Durano, Chloe Jenna, Apple Dy and Jaggy Lejano.
And they were all lauded during the Q&A as the whole cast gave a good performance.
Yen was flattered when Jun Nardo told her: “Mas magaling ka sa tatay mo (DJ Durano).”
“Naku, wag nyo pong sabihin sa kanya,” she said, laughing.
Sa shoot, I asked Direk Joey Reyes, how do you want me to portray the role? And he said, ‘Just be yourself’. Chill chill lang daw kami sa shoot.”
Yen plays leading man Aerol Carmelo’s one true love in the story.
But he ghosted her when they were teens and she realized that she’s actually a lesbian.
She has a hot lesbian love scene with Apple Dy, who plays the hotel owner who happens to be Aerol’s boss. Didn’t she have any qualms making love to another woman?
“Actually, I like women. Nagagandahan ako’t naa-attract ako sa kanila, but I don’t see myself having an actual relationship with one.
"But on screen, I prefer girl-to-girl love scenes. Mas comfortable ako kasi alam mong hindi ka babastusin.
"Kasi aware pa rin naman ako na iba rin when I do love scenes with guys.
"I do my work but I make them feel na hanggang dyan ka lang. May boundaries. Trabaho lang.”
How about Apple Dy? How does it feel doing lesbian bedscenes?
“Okay lang, trabaho lang,” she says.
“Friends kami ni Yen kasi ang location ng shoot namin is in Pampanga at dinaraanan ko siya sa kanila para sabay kaming pumunta roon.”
She’s happy that her first movie, “Punit na Langit”, started streaming on September 8 and her second film, “Patikim-Tikim”, follows right after on September 15.
“Baguhan lang ako pero nakakatuwa, magagandang roles agad ang ibinibigay sa akin,” she says.
“At totally magkaiba ang roles ko in these movies. Pipi akong probinsyana sa ‘Punit na Langit’ at dito naman sa ‘Patikim-tikim’, isa akong rich at susyal na hotel owner, pero lesbiana pala.”
"Patikim-tikim" starts streaming on Vivamax this Friday.
