AFTER PLAYING the lead roles of Luna and Kalix in “The Rain in Espana”, Book 1 in Wattpad’s University Series, Heaven Peralejo and Marco Gallo now reprise their roles in Book 2, “Safe Skies, Archer” by Gwy Saludes.
But this time, the series will focus on the newly minted love team of Krissha Viaje as Yanna and Jerome Ponce as Hiro, the young pilot in the story.
Aside from them, the whole gang, called the Univerkada, is back led by Bea Binene as Via, Gab Lagman as Sevi, Aubrey Caraan as Sam, Nicole Omillo as Kierra, Frost Sandoval as Leo, Andre Yllana as Adonis.
There are new additional characters: Jairus Aquino as Shan, best friend of Hiro and love interest of Kierra, and singer-actress Hyacinth Callado as Elyse, the sister of Shan who’s secretly infatuated with Hiro but who will later be paired with Sevi.
So how would Krissha describe her lead character, Yanna?
“Si Yanna is a tourism student,” she says. “She’s known for being adventurous, wild, liberated, afraid of commitment when it comes to relationships.
"I’m thankful to Viva for giving me this lead role, which is the most challenging one in my entire career since I joined ‘Little Big Star’, became a part of the group Girl Trends and did supporting roles in movies like ‘Greed’, ‘Parang Kayo Pero Hindi’ and ‘Mary Cherry Chua’.”
How about Jerome Ponce, how will he describe his role as Hiro?
“Si Hiro, he’s taking up mechanical engineering in La Salle, but ang dream niya talaga is maging pilot and to study later in the best flying schools in Florida, the USA.
"Kaso magkakakilala sila ni Yanna, at yun, tatamaan sila sa isa’t isa.”
The lives of Yanna and Hiro will change when they meet each other. At first, they agree to have a no-strings attached, no label kind of a relationship.
But eventually, they will fall deeply in love and become more involved with each other. But just like most young loves, their relationship will hit a snag and they part ways.
After five years, they meet again. They are now both working professionals with their own flourishing careers.
They are now more mature in their views and outlook in life.
They realize that they haven’t really moved on from each other.
Will love be really lovelier for them the second time around?
