JANE DE LEON HAPPY TO BE IN 'RAGE' EPISODE OF 'SHAKE RATTLE & ROLL EXTREME' SHOWING ON NOVEMBER 29

JANE DE LEON played a starring role in Regal’s “The Debutantes” in 2017, way before she was chosen to play Darna.

She’s now glad to be back with Regal in “Shake Rattle & Roll Extreme” that opens in theaters on November 29.

“Si Miss Roselle Monteverde ng Regal ang isa sa unang nagtiwala sa akin, so I’m very thankful that I get to work with them again in ‘SRR Extreme,” says Jane.

“Ang dami kong napanood na SRR movies before kaya I’m happy and proud na finally, heto, kasama na ako in ‘SRR Extreme’.”

What is her episode and what role does she play?

“Our episode is ‘Rage’, written by Trisha Delez and directed by a very young filmmaker, Joey de Guzman who’s from New Zealand,” she replies.

“Kasama ko rito sina Paolo Gumabao, Rob Gomez, Dustin Yu, Bryce Eusebio, Mika Raines and Sarah Edwards.”

She says they play thrill seeking young people who leave to city and go out of town to watch a meteor shower in a rural area.

They don’t know that the meteors from outer space that fall down to earth carry ferocious virus that infect humans and turn them into a zombies who are full of rage and eat people.

“It’s a very scary story,” adds Jane. “Hinaluan din po ng action kasi may action scenes na nakikipaglaban kami sa mga taong infected by the virus at gusto kaming kainin.

"For sure, the viewers will be terrified at magtitilian sila. And we’re glad na sa sinehan siya maipapalabas dahil mas nakakatakot ang scary scenes when you watch it on the big screen.”

After she played Darna and Janella Salvador played Valentina, the snake woman, people started pairing them off and asked that they do a GL or Girls Love movie.

What can she say about some people putting malice into their relationship?

“Kami naman ni Janella, pareho kaming natutuwa sa suportang ibinibigay ng mga tao sa friendship namin,” she says.

“We don’t mind kung sinasabing bagay kaming love team. We interact with the fans na natutuwa sa amin, kaya siguro minahal din nila ang friendship namin.

"Siguro, sa mga LGBT, they fantasize us and it’s okay lang. If maibibigay ba namin ang kaligayahan nila, why not?”

What if a producer offers them a lesbian-themed project? Will they accept it?

“We’ve talked about and we’re open about the idea. Basta maganda ang story at maayos ang pagkakasulat ng script, sige, go. Trabaho pa rin naman yun and people now are so open-minded about these things.”

But what is the state of her heart now, after Arron Villaflor confessed that they used to be in a relationship?

“Yung kay Arron, antagal na noon, e. As of now, happy naman ako. I am actually dating someone. Non showbiz guy and let’s just leave it at that to protect his privacy.”
