KRISSHA VIAJE started as a wholesome singer discovered in the singing contest “Little Big Star”, then she did supporting roles in soaps and films.
She now gets to play the lead role in the new Viva One Wattpad series, “Safe Skies, Archer”, and has agreed to do a love scene with her leading man, Jerome Ponce, with whom she gets to work for the first time.
“Both of us ni Jerome, first time namin to do a bedscene and me, I really prepared myself to do such a scene, ” says Krissha.
“Pero si Jerome, siya po ang nanginginig at kabadong-kabado.”
Jerome confirms this.
“First time ko, tapos, ni-require ni Direk Gino Santos na shirtless ako, kaya grabe ang nerbiyos ko,” he says.
“I wasn’t confident enough kasi galing ako sa soap na puro drama lang, confrontations, so doon ang experiences ko. Pagdating sa bed scene, wala.
"Pero I felt kailangan kong labanan yung kaba ko at naitawid naman namin ni Krissha ang eksena.
"Pero later, nang iniisip ko na, shucks, nagawa ko ba yon? So next time, kaya ko na. Nagawa ko na, e.”
“Safe Skies, Archer” will start streaming on November 20 on Viva One.
It is the second book in the hit University series on Wattpad written by Gwy Saludes. The first book, “The Rain in Espana”, was very successful when shown on Viva One starring Heaven Peralejo and Marco Gallo.
“We’re very thankful to Heaven and Marco kasi kasama rin namin sila dito sa ‘Safe Skies, Archer’ and they are both very supportive,” says Krissha.
“Nagpapasalamat din kami sa iba pa naming cast members in the series,” says Jerome.
“Sina Bea Binene, Aubrey Caraan, Gab Lagman, Nicole Omillo, Andre Yllana, Frost Sandoval, Jairus Aquino, Hyacinth Callado, Franki Russell. Hindi mabubuo without their good support.”
Since it’s their first time to be paired and work with each other, how is it?
“I’m grateful na siya ang kapareha ko kasi magaling talaga siya,” says Krissha.
“He’s more experienced than me when it comes to acting and he’s very generous kaya natulungan pa niya sa mga eksena namin.
"Sa look test pa lang, they already said na maganda ang chemistry namin on screen.
"So I really enjoyed his company while working with him. Bagay talaga siya sa role niya as Hiro, who’s a pilot in the story.”
“Sobrang saya maka-work si Krissha kasi kung nabasa mo yung book, you can feel na nabuhay talaga yung character ni Yanna sa kanya,” says Jerome.
“Hindi kami nahirapan working with each other kasi we hang out together para mas magkaroon kami ng connection with each other.
"Nagbabatuhan kami ng lines para pag humarap kami sa camera, ready na kami.”
They seem to really get along fine with each other. Are they in a relationship at the moment?
“Ako po single ako ngayon,” says Krissha. “I just got out of a relationship. Long distance siya and it didn’t work.”
“Ako rin po, single as of now,” says Jerome. “Katatapos din lang po namin ng last girlfriend ko.”
So, is there a possibility of romance blooming between them while they’re playing the roles of Yanna and Hiro in “Safe Skies, Archer”? Both of them laughed.
“We don’t really know,” says Jerome. “As of now, we’re just enjoying working with each other. Kung may iba pang pupuntahan yun, only time will tell.
"As of now, just fasten your seatbelts dahil lilipad na sa ere ang ‘Safe Skies, Archer’ to entertain you and make you fall in love again.”
