NEW CAST MEMBERS OF LATEST 'ENCANTADIA' REBOOT INTRODUCED, LED BY BIANCA UMALI

BIANCA UMALI was introduced by GMA-7 as the newest cast member in the latest reboot of “Encantadia”.

She will play the role of Terra, the missing daughter of Sang’gre Danaya (played by Diana Zubiri in the 2005 original and by Sanya Lopez in the 2016 remake).

In the new “Encantadia”, Bianca didn’t grow up in Encantadia but was raised in the world of ordinary humans.

She says she was surprised when she was informed that she will be part of the show’s latest reboot.

“I’m really so thankful for this blessing,” she says. “Paulit-ulit akong magpapasalamat sa GMA kasi I was not even called for an audition. Hindi ko ito hiningi or hiniling and yet, kusang ipinagkaloob sa akin kaya naman I really feel so grateful. Marami pong salamat sa inyong tiwala.”

She now feels so energized in her career. She was last seen in the romantic-drama, “The Write One”, with reel and real life boyfriend Ruru Madrid, who now also has a new show, “Black Rider”, that will be shown this Monday.

“I used to watch the past versions of ‘Encantadia’ and now I cannot believe it na part na ako ng latest version nito,” she adds.

“I assure GMA that I will do my very best and they will not be disappointed. I don’t want to disappoint or fail anyone who gave me this wonderful chance to be part of an iconic show.”

She is now preparing for the action stunts and fight scenes she is expected to do in the fantasy-adventure show.

“I’m taking this very seriously,” she says. “Ang preparation ko, it’s like parang I’m preparing for a Marvel movie. Ganoon ko katindi siya pinaghahandaan.”

She knows her role will require her to do some very physical scenes and she does not want to be caught unprepared when their camera starts to roll.

“I have been studying their past shows, everything about ‘Encantadia’, kasi talagang noon ko pa gustong maging part ng show na ito.

"Kaya naman I am now learning some new skills in handling weapons and doing martial arts para naman I would not be caught unaware.

"I now realize na kaya hindi ako napasali sa 2016 version, kasi meron palang ganitong latest project na nakalaan para sa akin.”

She adds that she will be handling the “brilyante ng lupa” and it’s really what she’s dreaming of.

“Noong nalaman kong  brilyante ng lupa ang mapapasakamay ko, I felt it’s in the stars na mapasa akin para maging tagapangalaga nito, kasi ito talaga ang gusto ko.

"So abangan nyo po ako as Terra sa bagong ‘Encantadia’.”

Three other new members of the cast have also been introduced: Faith Da Silva as Flamarra, Angel Guardian as Deia, and Kelvin Miranda as Adamus.
